"The Saddle Inn is a great pub my twin brother Stephen and I visited on a recent two day trip to Chester pre coronavirus lockdown , it's a pub I always look forward to visiting on any trip into this historic walled city...I take. I love the interior, a wonderful looking pub ,the main room is dominated by a very eye catching serving bar complete with fantastic looking beer pumps that are made from guitar stems ,theres great decor and furnishings including all manner of rock'n'roll posters adorning the walls, tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub all housed in a great looking building, its just a wonderful pub. My brother and I were here on a Thursday morning, we were in fact the first customers of the day as we arrived at 11am as the pub opened, greeted with a smile by a very pleasant member of staff, after a quick study of their real ales we both opted to have Robinsons Brewery trooper and these pale ales were served in excellent condition, we got a table were we just kicked back,chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our real ale's. My pale ale was really good, a crisp,well balanced and full bodied pale ale with a big hit of hops,very easy to drink,a real ale style I really enjoy, my brother also gave me the thumbs up to his pale ale,it was the perfect start to our day. We both really enjoyed our pale ale's in here and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to The Saddle Inn we had a great visit. The Saddle Inn is easy to locate along Grosvenor Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 11am till 11pm. Friday Saturday, 11am till 2am. Sunday,11am till 11pm. A great pub,one I highly recommend you visit if your in the area."

Fairly quiet when we were there, but a proper pub,,Better than the likes of Wetherspoons etc.Only 500 yds from centre.

the saddle inn, is not just a hotel, it was the only “Rock pub” we found in chester and the jukebox had so many great melodies.

Nice friendly staff and good location was a bit disappointed with the dinner menu not a lot of choice but the breakfast made up for it. Ver carta

The pub has some lovely seating areas and the drinks are very reasonably priced. The small terrace outside is good for smoking and the staff were all very happy and friendly.

The staff are amazing, the music food and drinks are all great and reasonably priced. We really enjoyed our stay here, it’s not far from the main shops to walk to. I can recommend staying here and thank the staff for helping make our stay...so enjoyable x

Visited Chester last september to see a friend of mine and we spent majority of the time in The Saddle. The friendliest bar staff, the BEST atmosphere and never felt more welcome. The food is amazing and the venue itself reminded me of a couple...of old pubs I used to frequent in Norwich back in the 90's. I can't say anything more positive about The Saddle. Leigh and his staff run an amazing pub/music venue and I cannot wait to visit again in the near future!! Ver carta

it wasn't sure what you expected with ted letter credit card as booked. the saddle inn is something quirky and differs from our usual stay overs. the stairs and our bathroom needed a small dc, but everything else was on it. the greeting and...the review was good and all the workers we met were very pleasant. the cook we believe is completely new to hang on it) sent a 1 St-Class breakfast two tomorrow and a great meal at our second night. all beautiful and fresh, cooked to order. rebecca was beautiful and very obligated, nothing too much annoyed. the saddle inn is a good location for the city center, the river dee and the city walls to foot. if they have a talent and want to join, they have a...

We came to The Saddle Inn for an over night stay, we had a buyaguft.com voucher and chose to stay here. From the minute we walked in we were welcomed with open arms! Everything was so straight forward and easy, we were showed to our...room straight away which was lovely! We then came down to the pub, which had an open mic night on, great atmosphere! The lady who owns it saw us and talked us through the menu, as it was busy we were sat on high stools and table, she took us over to a comfy area which we didn’t see to enjoy our lovely meal!
