"not sure who took over the newly renovated ship. the inner is beautiful, inviting real fire. on the first day of the opening. beautiful front of the house staff manager. I will be thinking directly at the point of my personal experience: I think the menu prices were very expensive, based on what we received. the menu is impressive. but personally did not speak so. closes small. tepid not hot, plates cold returned as microwaved perceived, but, fair enough it wasn't a fine dining room facility just unhappy had to be sent back because there were other problems, but the team consciously and feel confident that they respond. ground flour I think gives the impression of fine restaurants, but is only expensive pub grub, but cooked to house. did not notice paying, but eating was really not worth the money we paid, though okay. it was not to apologize for the money, not after anything. but the people go for a good meal, and it doesn't matter to pay for it. we all want a certain value for money. we're coming back. possibly this was all on the first day of the opening, and unavoidable to have a degree of toothing problems if no one knows that nothing is to be done with it."

Great pub. Always look forward to going to the Ship. Love the lamb and the fish pie. Puddings to die for. Staff make you very welcome and are helpful and friendly.

my friend and I came to lunch and loved it. there was a great menu to choose too many great dishes. the food we ordered was delicious and we were left full and happy with our meal. highly recommended!

Great Place!. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, staff very friendly but more importantly the food is excellent top class restaurant quality at sensible prices....making me hungry just thinking about it!!

The Ship at Elswick is back but even better than before ! We had the most delicious food last night for my husbands birthday . The new team are amazing , right from the warm welcome upon arrival to the friendly goodbye and thank you...for coming . The food was on a par with Northcote (seriously and my old fashioned cocktail brought back memories . Complimentary canapés to showcase the new menu delivered with a smile and an explanation of each . We will definitely be returning

what a great lunch with friends, the greeting we received was very attentive and friendly. the food was fabulous, had the chicken charter cake and it was delicious, could not fail. very dog friendly facility, my got a warm welcome, dear to attention and even shown the doggy bar full of tasty, bowls, towels and cover. I can't expect to come back. if there is a small rat, I would have it for a few more vegetarian options on the main menu or special vogel, so I can return with other family and vegetarian friends who would love it here.

I had high hopes for a Sunday dinner here but there needs to be massive room for improvement. We had to wait to be seated , there was no staff to be seen although I had ore booked a table. Although I would say staff...are polite. There were tables full of food suggesting there wasn’t enough staff on. We ordered a sharer starter just to keep us going and it took 20 mins after we had eaten it for the plate to be cleared and another half an hour for the Sunday dinner to come out. The beef was fatty and most of it looked like it was re heated. This place has potential but needs a bit of a shake up
