Dog friendly pub. Friendly polite staff. Nice traditional British food, good size portions. Cosy log fire. It's not a posh pub and to me all the better for it. keep it as it is

Been here a few times now, but this was first Sunday lunchtime. The meal was HUUUUGE... Choice of 3 meats, chicken, beef and pork. Chose to add extra pigs in blankets. Everything was well cooked and still hot when it got to us. Would def recommend, but make sure you bring a healthy appetite with you !!

Had a lovely evening Sunday roast here, the food was delicious, the portions were huge the staff were really friendly accommodating. I had the veggie roast option it was really nice, it was great to have just as big a portion as the meat eaters, it might even have been slightly bigger! Really nice experience, thanks!

on a Sunday night for a few drinks immersed around 6-30 o'clock, only to say we close around 19 o'clock who a pub around 19 o'clock on a sunny Sunday evening with approx. 25 people close, don't want to earn money. I've been staring a lot, probably because we didn't have a local accent. we found that all the other pubs were already closed near. let me guess, we made our money on eating during the day, so they drink after the kitchen closed, they go somewhere else. will not be back.

we had a groupon 2 cursed with a glass of wine. we chose to pay the £18.95 8oz sirloin steak with £3 extra. everything on the plate came from a freezer and the steak was not attractive to look or taste. the house wine was also very poor. the management did not care that we were unhappy and only advised if we wanted another drink that we had to pay extra. the young staff was very helpful, but could only report the instruction of the management. we will certainly not go back there and I can confidently say that in 10 years there are the worst meal and hospitable, from the administration that we have met.
