Visited for impromptu lunch and we were not disappointed. The food was very tasty and the staff polite and attentive. Very cosy surroundings. Definitely going to visit again in the near future

Treated ourselves to a bank Holiday Monday meal and booked in to listen to the entertainment, which was very enjoyable, well done to the organisers, look forward to next time. Thank you to Amanda for excellent friendly service!

enjoy as beautiful lunch on suday, sirloin of bark very good, big postions really delicious, close our server was really fired and polite, cheesecake and chocolate brownie delish. the only negatiw that the veg could have done with hotter.

they enjoyed a great lunch in the springfield inn yesterday, had the slowly cooked bark porcini bourguignon and roasted salmon both very well. our waitress was excellent, the men in the service were also friendly. would recommend and we will return, thank you.

Me and my Mum had another lovely meal here today The fishcakes were amazing and my Mum had the fish and chips. The food is wonderful and Nicky the waitress is lovely. We came here a few months ago and it was really good then ,but even better this time. Love it here . Melanie and Joan

Lunch last Friday with friends. Warm welcome and attentive cheery service. Excellent king prawns starter, main courses pie and sea bass. However chicken in both the burger and the curry were overdone. Thankfully our waitress arranged for my wife’s burger to be replaced-and it was fine 2nd time. Nice location with plenty parking.

We used a room at the Springfield for business training over a few days. The staff were great in making sure the refreshments in the room were topped up throughout each day we were there and even made sure lunches were served on time to help with our tight training schedules. They organised the room just how we needed it too. The room has an exit to the seating area outside, so we took our quick breaks throughout the day out there without needing to go through the pub. Thanks Jess and the team!

Been here many times before and found it to be very good indeed. This time, we went for lunch and although the decor, atmosphere and server were all great, the food was not as good as it had been on previous visits. I had the smoked haddock and spinach fishcakes they were hot, had a good flavour, but were quite soggy (I'd expected them to be a bit crispy). My husband had steak, which he said was fatty and didn't have much meat on it. It hasn't put us off going again, though, but we'll know not to order those particular dishes.

Stayed here after reading some good reviews . Pleasant welcome by a young man at the bar full payment taken on arrival . Downhill after that Room was ok not large for a ‘double’ Bathroom sink so small you bump your head on the shelf and on washing your face water spills on your legs, feet and the floor. Bed ok, but no blanket and I was cold . First morning my room was tidied but the bed left unmade . Breakfast poor, with microwaved rubber scrambled eggs and no choice of bread just white rubbish . No fruit, fresh or tinned . Second night the fire alarm sounded at 3.15 am, and continued for 4 5 mins before it was deactivated .
