"We had dinner here on Wednesday 9/8..staff very friendly and welcoming, the dinner was delicious, beef and ale pie, and Mac and cheese, yes we were told it would be 25/30 mins wait but it was certainly worth it when it came, we where staying at Murraypark Hotel and had dinner in the hotel restaurant the night before and it was no where near as delicious as this was. Would highly recommend “The Square”..Great value for money."

Popped in for dinner whilst on a short break near Crieff and was very nice. Food was good, lovely service and not too expensive.

Typical pub food menu. Food was nice when it came, but was very very slow, even the kids meal which we had asked for as soon as it was ready. Soup, sanwiches and salad as it was lunchtime, all nice.

The bar man was pleasant. The place was bitterly cold but the BIG issue was the 45 minute wait...the food sucked big style and we left in a gloomy state. Shape up people! I want food before hypothermia..thanks

We went there after a hike. The pub was recommended by a restaurant (Craobh Kroov) nearby. The dog friendly pub wasn't too busy at around 1630. The staff was friendly and helpful. The fish and chips were very good. Price was typical for a tourist region. We would come again. Ver carta

I've come all the the way from Wales and I can't believe how excellent the customer service from Ewan McGregor I had. I'm felt so welcome and he gave serive with great smile and confidence. For someone that has never been here before I had a great laugh and felt very welcomed. Love staff like this I had to ask his name

I visited this restaurant on Saturday night and Sunday morning for drinks. The atmosphere was uncomfortably cold. It was disappointing to see that they didn't even have the fire on during a cold January evening, which may have contributed to the lack of customers. Other restaurants in town were busier, cozier, and overall of higher quality. The drinks were also quite pricey.

Lovely pub, girl behind the bar and serving food was very pleasant, helpful and friendly. Food was 10/10... Really enjoyed both courses... The second course took a bit of time to come but was nice to have the wee break between courses and it was worth the wait! Totally recommend a visit to this lovely place for food. Would have loved to have tried a cocktail but was driving! Ver carta

The service was polite but somewhat condescending. I learned that what may seem nice at first glance is not always genuine. The price of a pint of Tennent's was 13 pounds, which I found to be exorbitant. It was no surprise that there were only two people dining and one person at the bar. Unfortunately, there was no acknowledgment or response from any staff members during my visit.

This restaurant was fantastic! It met all of our criteria- it was dog friendly and provided a water bowl for our furry friend within 2 minutes of arriving. The mojito was amazing- I usually don't order them because they are often disappointing, but this one was perfect every time! The nachos were probably the best we've had at a restaurant. 10/10. Thank you to the staff for their wonderful hospitality.

"This place has all the potential for a 5 star experience and you may well have it by going here! Unfortunately, we did not and it's worth explaining why. For context, we didn't stay overnight just had a meal in the restaurant one night and went to the beer garden another. Restaurant: Food was generally very good and prices reasonable. I'd especially recommend the tempura chard if it's on the menu! The setting of the restaurant is also lovely. However, we ended up waiting about an hour between starters and main meal 2 people . We were advised approx 40 minutes into the wait that one of the mains was no longer available and a substitute would be provided there was some gnocchi improvised from potato mash involved. Service were on top of this though and did remove this item from the bill. So in summary, good elements involved but a couple areas that could do with attention. Beer garden: We went along to the beer garden to catch the rugby world cup final. This was sadly quite a disappointing experience that ended up with the limited attendance clearing out before half time . In short, coverage only started after national anthems. No sound other than via headphones ?? , which didn't work ?! . Pizzas were pretty tasty but the cheese was stringy as a ball of yarn positive with no cutlery or tissues provided negative . And at c. £16 per pizza, felt a bit cheated by the whole experience. The rooms themselves look lovely and I'm sure on a summer's day if you're looking to enjoy some drinks and a bit of food in a lovely setting, the Taybank probably covers exactly what you're looking for! They also run a traditional music session in the main bar on a Thursday evening, which is absolutely worth checking out! But I'm afraid for us, it's unlikely we would rush back for anything other than that."
