This restaurant is fantastic! The food and cocktails were delicious, and the staff were fantastic! I came here for a relaxed lunch and drink with my friend and my dog, and I highly recommend it. I will definitely be returning.

we went in for the bottomless Prosecco brunch and got an hour and a half of Prosecco that they were generous with pouring. I had chicken and waffles that were unreal. cracking spot and service with a smile. waitress was proper friendly and chatty.

Held my sons first birthday here Michelle the owner was lovely everyone had a fantastic time and the food catered to us by the restaurant was Devine! All vegan and tasty even the meat eaters loved it! Staff were professional and accommodating Thank you so much Ver carta

A lovely place in a great location very spacious with nice decor/furniture inside. Food and drinks were very nice indeed, good portions and lovely cocktails. Service by Tamsin was fantastic, very friendly and she was very knowledgable about the menus and able to make great recommendations to us. Will definitely visit again.

Went for Sunday lunch. Had the roast. Was very average , in fact not very good at all. Meat was tasteless. Roast potatoes were hard and seemed to be reconstituted. Carrot swede also bland. Cauliflower cheese was OK but seemed to be of the frozen cooked type. Yorkie was huge but hard and cold. My partners main course she said was horrible. First and last visit.

Our experience at this restaurant was not great. Three out of the four dishes we tried to order were not available, and when they brought a different item, they tried to pass it off as something else. When we questioned this, the manager came over without offering any apologies and simply asked if we were going to eat it or not. Booked a 'day party ' for my sisters baby shower. Dealt with Michelle from enquiry all the way through to the day of party. She was so helpful and answered all my questions swiftly, personal touch was her helping me find a singer for the party and recommending decoration people. She talked me through the day beforehand and came to meet me at the venue and welcome us in. So nice to support a small business when this is the service you get. food was 10/10 two men on the bar were fast and efficient room is spacious with full air con for the summer months great cocktails

I don't even know where to begin. The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious, especially the lobster mac n cheese and the Sunday roast. However, I have had multiple issues with the booking process. Three times now, my reservation has either been cancelled or moved. Despite dining here before and recommending it to my friends, I was disappointed to arrive for Sunday lunch and find out that my reservation had been double booked. Most recently, my friend made a reservation for us only to be told two days before our booking that we had been moved to another location due to another booking. This experience speaks volumes. This is the second time we've visited the Standard. The first time was lovely so we took different friends again. Second visit not so enjoyable. The food is good, no complaints there and the service is also good. But they have a bar which is in the same area as the table for dining. There is also some couches in the window for people to sit and drink. There was a large party of very noisy women standing at the bar. They did not eat. The music was extremely loud. The door kept getting left open by customers and one of us had to keep getting up and closing it, the staff didn't seem to notice. Perhaps get a self closing returner on the door?
