The Sugar Bowl - Carta

Good location. Friendly staff. Great variety of cakes, traybakes. But sadly fruit scones were lacking fruit, taste were obviously frozen.

Very busy little cafe. Dog friendly. Delicious food and reasonable prices. We had the egg and sausage breakfast muffin and my hubby said it was the best muffin he ever had. Would come back again

Comfortable place to enjoy a coffee and sweet in this little town. It can get quite crowded around lunch time so you may have to wait a bit. Lovely menu items, including sweets to go with coffee or tea. Ver carta

Nice little breakfast place for a quick pit stop. We got the full Scottish breakfast and the veggie breakfast roll. Food was lovely as was the coffee however was nothing exceptional. Would return and was pretty cheap.

We had a great experience at this restaurant with excellent service, a warm welcome, and fantastic food. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal, especially after being disappointed elsewhere. This place really saved the day for us.

Lovely wrap, delicious cake and one of the nicest coffees I’ve had for ages not too weak or too strong. Friendly service, although as first time visitors a welcome on arrival would have helped wandered around not really sure how it worked. But a thoroughly enjoyable experience Ver carta

We had a very pleasant lunch here there is a wide menu including soup. paninis, jacket potatoes, breakfast items etc etc. The cafe is warm and welcoming and staff very friendly. It also has the advantage of opening early 8.00 am so one can come for coffee or breakfast before most other cafes are open. Well done the Sugar Bowl.

We decided to try the paninis at this restaurant. The salad and dressing were disappointing, and the accompanying crisps were bland tortilla chips. However, the tikka panini was surprisingly good with flavorful chicken chunks and a tangy sauce. The mozzarella and pesto tomato panini was lackluster and didn't stand out. The staff wasn't very friendly. This restaurant is okay for a quick stop before heading back to the Central Belt, but don't expect anything exceptional.

We stopped by on our way to Aviemore and found a good selection of snacks at reasonable prices. The bacon, cheese, and egg muffin, sausage roll, potato scone, tea, and coffee were all delicious. However, the cleanliness of the cups needed to be improved as they may have come straight from the dishwasher. Although it seems to be common practice, I personally do not agree with having dogs in restaurants. If this is allowed, patrons should be instructed to keep their dogs on a short leash or preferably have them dine outside. Ver carta
