Lovely food that tastes really nice and the staff are really nice, courteous and polite. They are dog friendly too

This restaurant is very friendly and welcoming, and the food is excellent. I would definitely return with my family.

I went to lunch with two friends and tried the Golden Years menu. We ordered two scampi and chips, and one fish and chips, but had to switch to scampi because there was no small fish available. We also had to change our desserts since there was no crumble. The food was served promptly and hot, and very flavorful. I want to give a big shoutout to Lewis, a very polite, friendly, and cheerful young man who took the time to interact with us older folks. He is definitely a valuable asset to the pub.

Several times this month been to sizzler with different attitudes from staff and management. Once with only 2 staff on who were great but the manager was upstairs with son while on duty while the staff was struggling. Last time sat in the garden where a guy had a dog on lead but was off the lead but no signs up to say dogs allowed or to be kept on ahead and a member of staff Connor was rude and raised his voice to the customer and if I was his manager he either needs training on customer or not left in charge.

We visited for my friends birthday as I had heard good things. We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table. Upon arrival I did notice a smell outside (initially thought it was the country air) but we decided to sit in despite a nice evening as was very whiffy. Good food great service and very quick as we’re puddings and coffee lovely friendly attentive staff who made it very pleasant. When leaving noticed the Smell had got worse and one woman was holding her nose walking to the car. Realized the smell was sewerage and it made us feel really quite sick so that was the only downside to a lovely evening. Hoping they get that sorted as it does taint the experience.

Third time my autistic 10 year old son and I turned up only to be confronted by a. bar staff lady member with a bad attitude and telling us with an angry voice that if we haven’t booked we can’t eat which again upset my son and was quite embarrassing as people were staring at us , I have previously attended with my son when the landlord a very friendly guy was more than accommodating and made us very welcome my apologies to you for the negative feedback but your staff need a lesson in people skills, the night last week we were turned away we went to Toby Carvery who were also booked up but realised my son was about to get upset then made a great effort to get us seated thank you kindly, rega...
