"James makes the best sandwiches in Southwold! (in my opinion). Full of fresh ingredients and served in tasty bread they almost don 't fit into the sandwich wrappers they are so well filled. ninedeli is a great place to order sandwiches to take down to the beach and there is lots of other food there to eat too. He is conveniently located on Pinkney 's lane close to 'Gelato '. Well worth a visit! Vegetarian options: Lots of options! Kid friendliness: James welcomes families with well behaved children Wheelchair accessibility: It is easy to get a wheel cahir ito the restaurant but the takeaway option means you don 't have to do so!"

"I visited the Sail Loft a few weeks ago with my partner. We had stopped there before for coffee but had never looked at the menu. The restaurant has a modern atmosphere with a vintage twist. When sitting at our table, we had a beautiful view of the harbor. The menu was extensive with a wide selection of starters and desserts. We decided to start with some appetizers and then moved on to our mains. I ordered the open club sandwich with skinny fries, which was served in enamel bowls - a nice touch. The sandwich was delicious, with fresh flavors and juicy chicken breast. My partner chose the burger with chunky chips, which he said was one of the best he's had. After our mains, we were full but decided to order desserts from the menu. I had the chocolate brownie with pistachio ice cream, which was perfectly balanced and not too heavy. My partner had the raspberry cheesecake sundae, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The only minor complaint we had was that the sundaes should be served with long spoons. Overall, we had a great dining experience at the Sail Loft. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning. Perfect for a weekend outing."

"Only an overnight stay but made the most of our time. Looked forward to dinner and was not disappointed a high standard and a reasonable range of choice were the the wine less expensive then may have given in to a 2nd bottle, am sure there is an opportunity to entice customers by offering either an overall better price or a reduced price on the 2nd bottle? Having retired to our somewhat small room and small double bed we regretted not enquiring about size of both prior to booking. However soon it was time to go down for breakfast, nothing unusual about the offering and ingredients were all seemed to be of high quality, sadly overcooked sausages did not stand be re heated/kept warm being somewhat hard and dry. Not so sure we will return and will have to seek out alternatives in the area."

"We last ate here in March 2020, just before the pandemic hit. So, we returned with my OH, my nephew, his partner, their 7 week old sproglett and puppy in tow. We were seated in one of the outdoor 'pods ', complete with heating/air conditioning. It was very toasty and a little cosy for us all. We chose the battered fish (IT WAS HUGE! and chips, and I had the fresh crab, samphire salad, chips etc. It was delicious. Nice fresh samphire (not at all 'woody ' as it can be sometimes and delicious fresh crab. Ham, egg and chips was also eaten and enjoyed. The food was delicious, the coffee delicious, the 'pod ' perfect, overall a really lovely lunch. The staff were very accommodating, leaving us 'alone ' for feeding time. Of course we 'll be back!"
