"This is a very beautiful pub, with great countryside veiws, when sitting outside on the patio. Inside is nicely decorated too. The service was amazing, from the table staff, the bar staff too the glass collectors. The food was delicious. The prawn and calamari stater were amazing. My Only complaint would be the small portion size. The main course of a traditional Sunday roast was also very nice, with plenty of fresh steamed veg, and a large yorkshire pudding. Also, there is a good selection of draft and bottled beers. And soft drinks. We had a great late afternoon Sunday meal. Thank you."

The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance and offers a great value menu. Initially, the service was good, but it declined towards the end of our meal. We wanted to order desserts, but no one came to take our order, so we eventually gave up. Additionally, it took quite a while for someone to assist us with the bill. Ver carta

Recently stayed and ate an evening meal at the Throckmorton for a family get together. Lovely clean and well equipped bedrooms which are good value and included a great cooked breakfast.
