I had an excellent dining experience! We went for dinner, and I would estimate the cost per person to be around £80–90. The food was outstanding, rating a perfect 5, and the service was equally impressive, also a 5. The atmosphere was fantastic, deserving another 5. Overall, it was a wonderful meal! Ver carta

Expectations were high before our visit. Loads of choice for pies, unfortunately only on a Thursday Booked a table but had to eat in a cramped area away from the main dining area as we had the dog with us, so it's not exactly a very dog friendly establishment. Had the scampi, which was tasty, but peas were hard, so they were undercooked. Lovely food, freshly cooked with a creative and diverse menu. Our waitress was friendly and efficient but service was quite slow despite there being few customers when we were there. The tables are quite crammed. It's a difficult balance between creating easy flow for table service, as many covers as possible for the success of the business, and customer comfort. Food was nice, service was awful. Wrong items brought, waitress did not listen to order properly, they forgot to bring out one of the dishes. The waitress was made aware of one of our parties food allergy and did not pass this info on to the kitchen. Waitress didn't even know what beer was served at the bar, when asked just said I don't really know but did not go and check. We booked a table at this delightful Pub, When we entered we stood waiting to be shown to our table my sister in law said to the young lady behind the bar who knew we were waiting shall we sit anywhere she looked at us and said you have a dog so you will have to sit in the bar area we were a little annoyed as there were 4 of us and there were 3 tables one was occupied and one was to small so we sat at a table by the TV which was to small no arm room , We asked if we could go into the resturant as it was practically empty and it was 19:35 she said dogs are not allowed this made me more upset as we have been in Derbyshire for 3 weeks and been to numerous restaurants and pubs and have been tota...
