"We booked a table for six adults, the oldest was 91 and it was to celebrate a birthday. As it was a Monday I was able to use my gourmet card. We all had three courses and the food was varied and quite delicious. The bar was warm, stocked an excellent range of gin and the service was excellent, a quite charming young man looked after us very well. I have no hesitation in recommending this venue and will return often. My steak was cooked to perfection which doesn't happen very often!"

Great food, really nice place inside and its position by the canal is perfect in summer. Service was a little slow but it seemed new staff were being trained. Will certainly be back.

The Trent Lock staff were attentive without being intrusive, very helpful and improved the ambience of the eating experience. The food was good and well arranged, enjoyable and tasty, the drink was also very good. I will return for a meal and when mentioned to friends they also said the had a good experience there.

Sat us outside the restaurant as problem with the booking on open table waited over 45 mins for food delivery. Ordered drinks and didn’t arrive. 2 items not available on the menu we wanted and waited until we ordered to tell us rather than when we were seated. Such a shame as normally have a good experience on open table. Waiting for my 100 points on here too.
