Great Atmosphere here, very good food and great Staff, want to praise James the Bar Manager for his professional approach, and friendly personality.

A solidly average pub-eatery. Reasonable menu at a reasonable price. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Burger and chips etc. Nothing in the way of dessert though.

Nice place, bad food. We ate there on 2 occasions and the worst food we were given was fish and chips. Tasteless and greasy fish, full of oil and chips pretty much the same. Good venue for drinks though.

The chicken with noodles and broccoli was very tasty but the club sandwich on brown, although good to eat, was a bit on the small side, cut into four, the same size as dainty cucumber sandwiches. Staff helpful and service quick.

Recently improved immeasurably with new decor great quality food and goods device in the main although the staff do sometimes switch off when your chasing a sandwich after 45 minutes! The new managers made a real positive improvement

I'm not sure what they can do to improve the ambiance of this pub-in-a-hotel, the sound on the TV was turned down and the background music, if any, was not audible, it was fairly empty and very quiet.Difficult to create any relaxing atmosphere as a pub, it looked like the tables and booths were more about getting food orders than a relaxing drink.

Worst nachos I've eaten. Barely any jalapeños, sour cream tasted off, I don't know anyone could make nachos taste so bad or they're really using the cheapest and the lowest quality of ingredients. I was testing the water before ordering a main meal and now I'd rather wait till I get home. They also messed up the drinks order at the bar. Would not recommend

This pub is part of the village hotel and have visited on many occasions. Not a great choice on the menu but food tastes fine ,they also catered for the grandkids 6 and 7 gave them drawings and crayons kids menu etc. we all enjoyed and prices not to bad comfortable surroundings but try to avoid when football is on as it gets busy/noisy and may not be to every bodies taste.

We first used this pub on arrival at the adjoining hotel.It was quiet apart from a few tables of lads watching the footie. We ordered a sandwich and chips, which arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious. I was really impressed as I'm not a fan of pub food usually. We had beef and horseradish with caramelised onion which was simply amazing, and it came with loads of crisps on the side, had we known that we wouldn't have ordered the chips! We returned later that evening for a few more drinks and most of the drinkers were sitting in the hotel lobby leaving the bar fairly empty, however the staff were very attentive and polite, it is a nice place, not at all romantic but it is what it is and...
