I had the Eggs Benedict which was one of the best I have ever had. Absolute delicious. This was my first visit but definitely won’t be my last.

We visited this place for lunch .It is a lovely little restaurant. Very quaint and unusual with a lovely ambience The food was delicious and the lovely young lady who served us was very efficient charming and friendly. We will definately go again

we dined at the village store over the weekend and i have to say the service was ok but the food was really bad!.Our chicken was cold and the sizzler wasn’t nice at all!.chewy chicken in a thick chilli sauce,not pleasant at all.I also opted for the sticky toffee pudding for desert which came basically cold Shame as we were told good things about this place.

A family of five ordered two breakfast gammon and chips, chili chips, and one vegetable soup. After a long wait, they received four main dishes. They waited an hour and a half for the soup, which was inedible due to raw carrots. When they asked about the delay, they received no answer. There was no manager present, only three young employees who seemed clueless. It was a disappointing experience and the reviewer vowed to never dine at this restaurant again.

Absolutely fantastic Attended for a pre baby meal Long story short we had some changes to our event and bex could not have been more accommodating Fit 12 of us in at last minute, communication was brilliant, offered to set up some decorations for us, was friendly, polite and generally welcoming. Food was gorgeous didn’t hear one bad review. I am gluten free and they accommodated this well. Will definitely return. 5 stars all round from us!! Thank you for making our mea so special

I came to the village stores for food tonight. It was pretty quiet and no atmosphere at all. The menu was extensive with lots of choice but I plumped for the special a so called sizzler. Unfortunately there was nothing special about it. The chicken and vegetables were boiled in a sweet chilli sauce and there was no sizzle!. The meat was chewy and rubbery and just tasted awful. The veg was watery and over cooked and the whole thing was just unappetising. unfortunately we will not be coming back any time soon!!!!

We have been visiting TVS for 7 years and have noticed some changes that are not for the better. The restaurant used to be vibrant and bustling with great service, fast and friendly staff, and a lively atmosphere. The food has always been decent. However, the new management lacks enthusiasm and does not interact with customers. The staff are pleasant, but two young employees struggle to keep up with a 70% full dining room. The new menu has not changed much, but the food is still good. While the meat on a hot plate is delicious, serving food on a wooden plank feels outdated.
