The Village Store - Carta

Unreal place for tea tonight. The chips were probably the best chips we have ever tasted. Steak and peppercorn also 10 10 (and even the pornstar). Can’t fault the food service we had.

A friend and I visited as we hadn’t been for a while. Very good service, friendly, efficient staff. I had whitebait, seasonal vegetables and chips and she had cod. Delicious food, thank you.

It had been some time since our last visit, but the food at this restaurant is still incredible. The service is also very friendly. I regret not having room for dessert. We will definitely be coming back more frequently. Ver carta

I went out for dinner with a friend yesterday. We tried out a cozy bistro at Helmshore the village stores. It was a pleasant experience. I decided to have the fish and chips, and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it.

Thank you Susan Briggs for the lovely Bank Holiday meal . Susan John E. Goldring have both lost weight recently, so what better way to celebrate than to have a slap up feast PS the Village food, service and ambience was excellent

We stopped by for lunch and were served by a friendly young woman. We sat outside on a beautiful day and enjoyed the ham and cheese ciabatta sandwich, which was delicious. Our only complaint was the high price of the Diet Coke. Despite this, we will definitely be returning in the future. Ver carta

Food is okay although chef has Changed I prefer the old menu, I woudnt go with just 2 people as u always get put in bad places even where there is loads of other free tables for 2 lol ps always check receipt they add a big tip on and I said I didn’t want to pay it once and was stil added the service is okay staff seem very gloomy as if they don’t want to be there

We usually visit here for breakfast which is always consistently good but on this day we decided to try lunch off the new menu. We were not disappointed in fact we enjoyed it so much we will be going back with the family very soon.I am an retired catering manager and I can honestly say the fish I had was the best I’ve had for years,well done chef!! The atmosphere was good as was the service keep up the good work and see you soon.

We recently provided a 5 star review on Trip Advisor, as the food was exceptional!! My wife particularly felt that the fish was the best she’d ever had. Due to this, we returned yesterday, where my wife again ordered the fish. What’s happened??? Different chef maybe??? She could have got a nicer fish from a back street chippy. It also said that it came with chunky chips, but this time it came with soggy wedges. Even the mushy peas were tasteless!!! What’s happened? Ver carta
