"I made a reservation for Sunday lunch but ended up waiting over an hour. The staff never apologized for the long wait, and the restaurant was freezing cold with everyone eating with their coats on. The pub is poorly maintained with dirty and uncomfortable seats. I ended up leaving because the food took too long to arrive. The owner is missing out on a great opportunity, as this is currently the only restaurant in Yalding. If you are trying to support local businesses, I would not recommend this place. I adore this place for grabbing a drink and chatting with friends. The food seems to be quite popular and delicious. The staff was lovely and the garden was beautiful and clean. We will definitely be coming back.

I had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. The traditional pub food was expertly prepared. My filet steak was cooked to perfection and very generous in portion size. I regretted ordering a starter, despite it being tasty. The service was very friendly and competent.

we had beautiful birthday party in the walnut tree, nice greeting, great and attentive table service, nice eating, only thema was two meal times should have thin pommes, but they came with cloby three times boiled chips, which a little too heavy for the two dame diners, overall very satisfied with our experience

I visited the restaurant during a very quiet time, with no other customers there. The food was good and the service was okay. I would definitely go back again. They have a small free carpark available. The price per person is between £10-£20. I would rate the food as a 5, service as a 4, and the atmosphere as a 3. I recommend trying the Fish and Chips. They offer free parking in a small parking lot.

The food was quite good. But the area that made our experience a negative one was the staff and drink available. We asked the waiter which beers we're on offer and there were no ales and he didn't even seem to understand the concept of what ale is. He didn't understand that the fish and chips was in a BEER batter and remarked to my mother in law that it was cod not beer. We were only given one napkin and then the waiter was surprised when we asked for more. There was no ale on offer and a short stock of lager. It took a long time between courses to be given the menus again. Service needs serious improvement.
