"This amazing restaurant opens only on Fridays and Saturdays. The food is very fresh, taste delicate yet robust, it has depth. Started with their home made bread amazing crust and with high quality butter which is packed with flavor. I had their signature sea bass.... I was impressed that the fish was just cooked to perfection... a fine balance to cook fish, and it was very fresh. And the mushroom risotto was amazing. First class execution of flavors. For dessert, I had their signature chocolate pot caramel and sea salt ice cream.... again delicious. The chocolate pot was rich and dense yet smooth, complemented by the refreshing sea salt ice cream. Even their house red is very good. The portions are very generous too. And the host, Wendy is very friendly and one who knows her food! Her customers have stayed with her for years... can see many loyal regulars. An amazing restaurant, will definitely go back."

Still doing great take home food, they kept us going through lockdown. An Ealing institution. Wendy and Louis, thanks for everything.

The food was the quality of some of the finest in London. Large portions, friendly staff, and a happy place. Always a pleasure to visit and would recommend to all looking for a lovely place to eat.

This place never fails to leave me stuffed and fit to burst! The food here is so good you can’t help but go in for one more mouthful, thank god you get a doggy bag to take away the food you don’t eat home with you. Don’t stop what you’re doing, love this place!

I had a fantastic takeaway from The Walpole! The mushrooms were full of flavour, the risotto was delicious, and the sea bass was cooked perfectly. I'm saving the chocolate cake and coffee ice cream for dessert later. I can't wait for The Walpole to reopen after COVID-19, so I can try their full menu.

We can only reflect what the majority of other reviewers have said this is seriously good food served without pretence. How it should be done. Can't recommend enough to people who like (lots of) top notch food with soul. Came with friends and will return asap. Doggy bags are offered for those with smaller apetites. Service was fantastic too, warm and great fun.

I had dinner at The Walpole on a Saturday night with some old friends who come back to Ealing specifically for this restaurant. The cheese souffle was light and superb. The sirloin steak was the largest I have ever had and cooked perfectly to my liking. The restaurant doesn't have fancy decor, but serves honest and well-cooked food at a reasonable price. Overall, a great dining experience.

I revisited the Walpole after a gap of about 18 months. This time it was to celebrate my birthday. Our party of 9 were given a warm welcome by the owner. Being a few days after the new year break it was not busiest of nights. The paper table cloth was a great surface for the kids in the group to show off their artistic bent between courses. The restaurant remains one of Ealings best restaurants.

I recently visited this restaurant with some friends. It is located just outside the main area of Ealing and was easy to find parking. The owners and staff gave us a warm welcome and we were soon enjoying our starters and a tasty selection from the menu. It was great to see the owner himself cooking in the back of the restaurant and the portions were huge. This place is known for their lamb, but I opted for the duck, which was delicious according to those who tried it. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff were very attentive. They even offered us doggy bags at the end of our meal. Overall, it was a delightful experience with reasonable prices. We will definitely be returning. Well done!

For many years we’ve been meaning to eat at The Walpole, tantalised by its menu whenever we walk passed. It is only open at weekends and you have to book in advance. Last night we finally got our act together and reserved a table for three with our daughter. We were in for a very special night, starting with the Raspberry Martini and homebaked bread and ending with a delicious pudding of Siena cakes and chocolate truffles. All the courses are enormous and delicious. The sea bream with Parmesan risotto was truly tasty as was the home cooked Hollandaise sauce that accompanied the fresh Norfolk asparagus. The service was efficient, while being delivered with a warmth that left you believing you...

"If you live in or visit Hanwell you must take a lazy walk down by the locks and build up an appetite before heading to the W7 Emporium. It’s a little white door by a crappy old man pub sat next to a small florist. Open the door and the atmosphere is straight away comfortable, your away from the street and simply relaxed and at home. The staff are friendly and offer as much banter as you want to be involved with so this is nice and a change from the branded offerings. The furniture is mix and match and the space light and airy so it fits well with Hanwells vibe and there is an outdoor space for the summer. The menu I would describe as funky modern Mediterranean, and there are no sausages which for me can be an issue. But if I’m being 100% honest I couldn’t care less here, the options here are well thought and imaginative. If you want a fry up there are other places in Hanwell to get one but if you want a Mexican there is only one place and that’s here. Ok I’ve given away my ultimate fave thing on the menu it’s what I have and it’s spot on. Poached eggs, nice bread, salad, crispy bacon, avocado and spicy sauce all out together and presented beautifully. So here we go it’s hands down the best place in Hanwell and if you want wine with brunch that’s fine because they serve that too. Have a couple then walk back to the canal and enjoy the afternoon whatever the season it’s a regular weekend jaunt and a compromise between a fry up for me and something healthy for the wife. In the eternal battle of good verses evil the Emporium emerges victorious every time."
