I visited this evening only to find a "CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE" sign posted on the door. I recommend checking their social media or calling ahead before making the trip to avoid any disappointment. Ver carta

This is a fantastic carvery, made even more enjoyable by the friendly staff and a cozy log fire. The dining experience was pleasant, with a nice selection of vegetables. The meat was a bit chewy, but I’m sure the staff would have been happy to let me swap it if I had asked.

We recently had the carvery, I had the nut roast which was tasty and my partner had the turkey which he enjoyed. The Yorkshire pudding was lovely too. Good customer service and pleasant atmosphere. Been trying to find something wrong and the only thing I can comment on was the amount of salt but I mentioned that to the lovely staff and they passed on my comment to the chef. This pub is a little gem of a place and I think it will be my new local! Fantastic food, well presented and just lovely! Specials that I haven't seen anywhere else. Clean, welcoming and just great! Only other comment is that they don't have a great choice of lager but they have plenty of other stuff to try including a lager I hadn't seen in other pubs. I am not one to post a 5 star review but this one deserves an all round 5 star Ver carta
