"What a shame such a lovely venue and the food did look good. We arrived without a booking on a Saturday and understand its a busy venue but all the staff were rude when we asked if we could just sit down for a quick drink. You can 't sit outside, defiantly not if you 're just having a drink. There were free tables the whole time we were there but got sat inside reluctantly. We ordered a snack bowl of deep fried jalapenos which were nice and had one drink. We then left and the bill came with 12.5% service charge on it. We asked if it could be taken off and were met with WHY? you had food! it got taken off in the end but it felt like becase we weren 't booked and we didn 't sit down for a full meal we weren 't worth bothering with. Such a shame customer service lets a wonderful venue down. Everyone was rude. Service: 1"

"In between showers noon today the sun beamed down on Henfield Hight Street 18°C to let me lunch at a table right on our High Street. In no time a feast of olives mussels French fries a nice Pinot and a Tiramisu dessert appeared before me. A brill mid-October lunch. Kitchen Teams, particularly, work flat-out in small-to-medium establishments, so thanks to the Kitchen Team for crafting such a brill lunch. Thanks to the Floor and Bar Team who served lunch with a friendly welcome and skill. A happy memory..in Henfield West Sussex."

"My friend and I went for lunch here but were extremely disappointed with the food. I ordered sausages in onion gravy with bubble and squeak and she had chicken casserole. Firstly the sausages with bubble and squeak …. My understanding of bubble and squeak was mashed potatoes with vegetables mashed together and fried until golden brown on the outside … here their version was mashed potato with a few veggies niched in … yuk! Onion gravy? Guess what? Yep, gravy with a few bits of raw red onion floating around! Chicken casserole … two very small chicken thighs with very little meat on them, frozen chips and veg. From memory £13.95 each dish … which probably cost around £3 to produce. Trifle for desert … don’t even go there. £44 for a very second rate pub meal! Never again! The people on the next table had lasagne … my dog looked at them longingly, she thought they were eating her dinner!!!!!"

"We recently had my best friends baby shower here. We were given a private room which was the perfect size for the 9 of us. We were allowed to decorate using the hooks already in the room and were allowed to decorate the table with anything we wanted to! The staff were all friendly, professional and helpful. Nothing was too much for them! The afternoon tea was really lovely, definitely the best ive ever had! There was a good selection of food, teas, coffees and for such a good price too! We will definitely be back! Thankyou!"
