The White Hart Inn - Carta

had an amazing meal today for my 50. in one of the pods in the garden. eating was amazing! steak sharing plate yum yum.

We visited for the first time on Mother's Day and it definitely won't be our last visit. The food was absolutely amazing.

we were really impressed by our visit. it is a really nicely maintained old inn with original features. the personal is very good. we had a mixture of roast, netzen and sides, all of which were delicious. our children also enjoyed their meal and the waiter was very accentuated for us. highly recommended!

When taking bookings for 8:30 on a Sunday don’t rush Your service through so that half Your staff leave at 9:00 pm. Roast Pork with Crackling the Menu said. No crackling but plenty of fat and definitely re heated. Always had such good food and service until this occasion. Very noticeable change in Quality and Service.

dog-friendly with some good walks near (which I did not try but seen on their website). the personal is friendly. tischservice. excellent vegetarian nut roast and roast beef. good selection of wines, beer and ales. log fire and beautiful looking pub. must be reserved as all tables all day on a Sunday. will be coming back Ver carta

A beautiful little venue in rural Essex. Went here with my fiancé and cousins for some dinner and wasn't disappointed. The cajun chicken burger was delicious and there's a great selection of beers and gins on offer. However, the biggest draw for this venue has to be the outdoor pods. Very gimmicky but would definitely recommend. Perfect for date nights as they are cosy and intimate.

Service was hit and miss they got orders wrong, took ages to bring some things. Food was ok for some but at least 3 of the meals were lukewarm, when I complained my meal was replaced and it was so hot it nearly took a layer of skin off my mouth. The portion of roast pork was 'mean ', veg was not even al dente it was nearly raw! Constant yapping and growling dogs were really annoying what were they doing in there anyway? What should have been a family celebration meal for 10 was spoilt by all the shortcomings of the service.

I would recommend visiting this restaurant during the week, as my previous experiences have been lovely when it is quieter. However, on Saturday it was very busy and chaotic, with multiple waiters serving our table and resulting in a duplicated drinks order. The unwanted drinks were not removed from the bill, so we had to double-check. The food also did not meet their usual standard, with my dish only being warm enough to eat. My husband found his scampi to be very average. While I have enjoyed meals here in the past, I don't think I will be visiting again after Saturday. Ver carta
