"This pub as not changed and in some ways got worse. This was for a birthday day meal for a family member and like last year 2 peace's of broccoli and 2 parsnips teaspoon of sweed mash at least there not trying to cover the plat with a giant Yorkshire pudding normal size this time. The thing what really annoyed myself was after 1 hour and half we were told we had to leave the table as someone else was coming in for two my partner had not finished her desert. And the other thing was after we had to go out side I bought my partner a hot chocolate the staff member said it's pink and the manager said it still tastes like hot chocolate but it didn't it was disgusting and I felt I had wasted £3.50. To top that of my son fell over going up there septs from the play area looked slippery. This place as not changed in my opinion it's a rip off if you want a family meal there you don't want to be rushed and all they want is your money and want you to leave. I don't really want to come back to this place."

A special occasion meal that got worse with each course. The best thing about the meal was the waiter was very pleasant. Never again!

Excellent pub with great views over the Severn valley. Very friendly staff serving fabulous food. The curries are particularly good. Highly recommend.

A first time for us since the change of ownership. Cosy restaurant with a roaring fire which was particularly welcoming on a cold winter’s evening. We both went for the curry and drink options. My wife chose the Butter Chicken whilst I had the Chicken Jalfrezi. Both dishes were served with Bombay potatoes, onion salad, mini popadoms and mango chutney. Service and food were really good and we will return soon.

The staff at The White Horse couldn’t be more friendly. The owner is a lovely chap whose menu contains many amazing tasty dishes. The place itself is nice and spacious, so even when it’s full there is plenty of room and it never feels congested....The service is always quick and efficient. And the curries….oh man, the curries are lovely! Although I don’t require gluten free, I see that they do have gluten free options if you ask. They can also provide allergen information upon request.

So disappointed! Service was appalling. Restaurant was so cold we kept our coats on. Food a disappointment Luke warm chips and peas on cold plates. As a group of friends (7), I’ve never seen so much food returned back to the kitchen. I realise...it specialises in Indian cuisine, but even my fish batter tinged of curry, as did the pies of others. Waitress was not interested in helping us out, just said that she was hot! None of us risked having a pudding in case it had the curry aroma. Sadly we were all disappointed, despite looking forward to going here for weeks. Sorry

Came here for a spontaneous lunch after a long walk as it is in the perfect location by the fields. We’d never eaten here before so sorta just expected standard pub food but we couldn’t have been more wrong. The chicken tikka starters were absolutely...incredible and such good value for money. Followed by beautiful mains (especially the curry) and dessert. Not only was the food way above put expectations but we couldn’t fault the service either. They sat us in front of the fire and were so attentive even when it started to get busy. Lovely vibes from this place and will definitely be returning!!

Visited as a family for Mothers Day, will never be coming back Venue was dirty, food order messed up and when we pointed out a meal was missed we were told, by possible the owner that we did not order this meal , even though he asked us at the time what side we wanted with the meal! Rather than just apologise and rectify he was incredibly rude and argumentative I was prepared to up and leave but as they store your card in a locked box they hold you to ransom, something I 've never experienced before at a local pub! I would advise all to avoid, simply dreadful from start to finish, shame I have to give it 1/5 as I would like to give 0/5

my partner and I had this lunch a wonderful outdoor dining experience in the white horse in W-U-E! it was a spontaneous visit and we didn't know what to expect (although I had enjoyed a few meal times there in the past) wow!. the curries were delicious and authentic Indian cuisine. no wonder as the cook was an experienced and hospitable gentleman. all were cooked on traditional wise, from scratch, without cutting edges. a real taste experience! the other meal times that came out while we had it looked as impressive (we might think that this year we have to work through the menu there always well to help companies where the staff go out of the way to give them an experience, as well as a meal...

I myself and my family were at two places in white horsw. first, on Sunday lunch with our at the time 4 months welpe. the staff were so friendly to us and they, understanding it was one of their early pub-lunch trips. brought their water so we were hidden in a table to help with their training, but not so far we could not enjoy the atmosphere. Sunday dinner was delicious and sticky toffee pudding was amazing! were of a good size, variety of vegetables, cauliflower cheese and pork in cover a good note! was tonight with my parents, we sat outside and had delicious curry chicken jalfrezi and spinach and lentil. again good size shares with sides I especially enjoyed the bombay kartoffeln and my...

"Sunday of our recent visit to aldeburgh was the Mother's Day and we welcomed the opportunity to taste the afternoon tea in the white lion hotel in adleburgh. the conditoir chef at the white lion is anmar odendal, an award-winning wedding cake designer. by her business crumb, she was recognized in 2013 by the high-time industry as the best wedding cake designer in the eastern englands. Our afternoon tea was florally inspired and included a selection of sandwiches, scones, cakes and pastries with a selection of tea, a glass champagne and a little pot flowers for mama, all at an incredible price of £20. it was overexamination good value and hard to think that we could get so much for so little. in a comparable iondon establishment would cost a afternoon as this probably at least £35 to £40. the selection of the fingersandwiches was delicious and included standard fillings such as gurke, sink, ei and water circles. the scenes were quite seductive, as they presented us an appealing texture. the outer was crispy and the interieur was soft. warm stuffed, the scones went floating with the dipped cream and delicious homemade skyberry jam. to the sweet things (my favorite part of a afternoon,) and on the top level of the tablet there were some beautiful pink meringue sandwiches lined with rosen water chantilly cream. these were delicate and as light as spring, and the combination with the cream was a good one. also on the top level was a zesty orange flower and vanille panna cotta sown with Indian orange blossom water and with fresh orange cest, popping sweets and a berry jelly. the jelly was particularly delicious as he was very fruity and helped to lift the panna cotta. the popping sweets was also a good note and gave the panna cotta an exciting twist. the panna cotta itself had a good consistency, but needed a little more vanilla for more taste. to move on the floor, and we really enjoyed the dark chocolate breweries as these were decadent and rich with an intense chocolate-y quality. the lavender sprocket was buttery and light, and the homemade makkarons of beet root and berry with a vanilla buttercream frosting filling were very welcoming. the macaron dishes were a little dense in the texture, but the taste combinations were a joy and were a joy to eat. a pistachio viktoriaschwamm came with a fabulous rose blossom jam center that really lifted the sponge with its sweet and exciting nature. it was a wonderful combination, and the sponge itself had a nice taste, although it was a touch dry. the themes for the afternoon tea on the white lion will change with the time as chef anmar constantly seeks new ideas and brings colorful inventions to the table. but is sure that every afternoon tee will be very pleasant. unique, colorful and funny, the pastries we tried were inviting to eat and showed solid technology. her creativity demonstrated the artistic and originality in her design. the sandwiches and skorn were also very good, and at a ridiculously reasonable price of £20 per head, the white lion showed that it is doing really well in the afternoon. I calculate today afternoon tee with 3.75/5"
