This charming little traditional country pub and restaurant features a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Tracey was exceptionally courteous. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and we were very pleased with our choices: we started with calamari and scallops, followed by seabass and filet steak.

The staff are warm and attentive, creating a relaxed and homey atmosphere. The food is excellent and beautifully presented. The service was exceptional, prompt, and attentive, with no mistakes. The prawn and avocado wrapped in cucumber was not what we anticipated for a prawn cocktail, but it was a fantastic idea and tasted amazing. The filet steak was the best we’ve ever had, even better than what we experienced at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Switzerland. This is a great pub with delicious food, and definitely worth a visit!

I can't understand the negative reviews of the Yew Tree. We've been coming here for a few years now based on a recommendation, and we've never had a bad meal. The food is consistently top-notch, as is the service, along with a great selection of wines and real ales. The garden is beautiful, making it perfect for summer evenings. Good pubs serving splendid food isn’t difficult in Kent. The Yew Tree is a case in point; tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the busy A-roads and Motorways lives an accommodating country pub serving Britain’s finest. I love the decor; a lot of care has been put into the look and feel of the exterior and interior. Outside there feels like queues of Alice in Wonderland. Inside it feels like a study. Service is professional, personable and perceptive. My pick of the dishes was the sumptuous scallops.

had a delicious, inexpensive three-course menu here. there was a wide selection of meal times that were stuffed on the various flavors of our group of six. the presentation of the food was excellent and pleasant to the eye. the waitress was very attentive, polite and friendly and ensured everyone needed. the seating was good without our party being too close to others. because of covid, tables were assigned only two hours, but we didn't feel hurried. there was a pleasant ambiente there and it was a pleasant evening that I would recommend to others try.

Had a lovely lunch today with my mates. Pub was really easy to find and nice and snug amongst all the country woods. The pub itself is a bit old fashioned both outside and inside and the lighting was quite dark and gloomy inside but otherwise was fine, made for a cosy meal. A lot of reviews on here said about the food and the service not being great. To be honest and fair to those reviews I personally dident have a problem with the food I ordered although some of my mates had different views on there food my order was the deep fried brie starter and roast beef for the main also had a lovely cheese cake which I dident get a photo of) all of my food was well cooked and fresh and tasted fantast...
