"As expected, the restaurant was fully booked for dinner, so we settled at the bar with some pork scratching. To our delight, the bartender informed us that there had been a cancellation, and they could accommodate us for dinner. The food was fantastic! I started with the pâté, followed by the chicken and leek pie for my main course. The pie was generously filled, wonderfully creamy, and the pastry was perfectly crispy. The mashed potatoes were smooth, and the gravy was thick, just the way I like it. They also had board games available for guests to enjoy. I was disappointed that we had to leave early Sunday morning, as I didn't get the chance to try their Sunday lunch. I would definitely come back to the area just to visit this place again. Thank you for a lovely evening!"

This is one of the best village pubs around. The food is first class. Steaks are exceptional and the pies are fresh with delicious pastry. Ideally situated for canal visitors and for camping and caravanning folk from the nearby site. The pub actually has it's own caravan pitches to the rear which we will try next time we come back. All credit to the Three Magpies. We were a family of twenty three coming together from many places over two hours travel) for the first time in many years for a social which was simply that and not a funeral or wedding. Wow, was it worth it. The pub were amazing. They gave us a separate dining area, lovely dedicated staff and excellent food at a good price. They basically ‘sorted it’ in a supportive and lovely way allowing the family to catch up and have a great time. including children of various ages) The staff were kind enough to say we are welcome to return. Highly recommended.

We received a very warm welcome at this restaurant. During our stay at the nearby C C Club site, we dined here for three consecutive days. The service was excellent throughout our visits. On our first night, since we arrived before the evening menu was available, we ordered a basket meal—sausage and chips—which was quite tasty. For the next two evenings, we made a reservation. I had a burger one night, while my husband enjoyed the fish and chips, both of which were outstanding. On the following evening, we both chose the beef pie in red wine with vegetables, and it was simply superb. We highly recommend this restaurant. The staff were very friendly, the service was great, and we would defini...

"I am so local at devizes that I was already at numerous places in the peppermill and it is definitely one of the places you can eat in the city. the restaurant is ideal for all types of meet, a few drinks, romantic dinners and with the garden... area even some al fresco cocktails and nibbles. recently they have another welcome supplement to their menu, the traditional afternoon tea! now I am a big fan of afternoon tea and that was one of the best I had. all foods on each level were made in the house and wonderfully fresh. the sandwiches in the classic British combinations (wiltshire ham and slender, smoked salmon, ice, gurke and cream cheese) were delicious. the skorn was just the right mix of sturdy (to add to the toppings) and crispy to eat, served with generous amounts of cream and celestial jam. I know strawberry is the usual, but they were very helpful to take allergies and gave us celestial jam. the real highlight, although we are the cakes and baked, all made fresh before spot. a lemon meringue tea, a lot of makkarons, incredible choux bakeries (small and chocolate orange), but a special scream from the carrot cake. it was incredibly light and if I hadn't kept an eye on my other half, she would have eaten my piece pretty happy! I would highly recommend the peppermill afternoon tea (and only generally for eating) so especially if it is a nice day to get this feeling of start and enjoy it outside. if they don't drive anywhere, they also take a naughty pina colada, as it is worth trying to completely embrace the summer vibe."
