The bagel is not easy to get wrong, the cheese was fine, the key ingredient being salmon tasted salty and could have come from a can, as there was no sense of it being sliced, more likely mechanically recovered? Similarly with the scrambled egg, a scoop of cold salmon (same type) and a scoop of avocado. Sometimes I wonder who taste tests such meals? We left disappointed with our meal and £8 lighter. The adjacent outlet was Harry Ramsden’s, where we bought two coffees for £5, and could have had a less healthy but more satisfying breakfast."

I had never been to Tossed before, but we decided to stop in on our trip. The service was slow, the food seemed inexpensive, and overall, it wasn't worth the visit.

We ordered a salmon Caesar salad and a grilled chicken Caesar salad. We opted for the large size for an additional 80p. Both salads were filled with plenty of fresh and tasty ingredients.

Stopped here for breakfast and decided to try something different and was certainly not disappointed by the offerings. I ordered the Mexican eggs which was cooked to order and was delicious. The great thing here is you can take off things you don’t like and add extras. Would definitely recommend.

I actually make a point about planning motorway trips around visits to Tossed! The food is excellent custom selections and lots of healthy options at reasonable prices far better than most service station offerings. The staff here are very good helpful and friendly. A nice place to stop and get some decent food with pleasant service. Ver carta

Massively disappointed in both of our orders chicken was minimal in one wrap and I ordered extra halloumi in the other to find there was 2 SMALL chunks of under cooked (if at all) in the whole thing. Both wraps were soooo bland and overpriced just completely tasteless. It was our first and last time of ordering from there unfortunately. Wouldn’t recommend.

Having been to Tossed before and been happy this time was very different.I have various allergy problems and other prohibited foods and was always pleased to be able to pick what I liked out of all the containers. This time 2 very young and inexperienced people told me to look at the tablets. They seemed not to know what was available. I went through the menus on the computer screen and found nothing I was able to eat without having something removed. I went back to the counter told them this and they looked at me then at each other ,shrugged their shoulders and smiled. tossed bye bye Jonathon

I visited South Mimms Tossed yesterday evening approx 6.45pm. I ordered a vegetarian Falafel chipotle Medium Salad. After getting half way through my meal i discovered raw chicken in my salad. I took the salad back to the tossed kiosk and they apologised and gave me a fresh salad. I am so dissatisfied with this; firstly I am a vegetarian so there should have been No Meat in my salad as i ordered a vegetarian option, secondly the chicken was raw. About 7 hours after my visit (I have not eaten anything since tossed) i started vomiting and have very bad stomach cramps. I believe they have given me food poisoning. Avoid at all costs. Ver carta

The staff informed me that half of the self-service terminals have not been working for months, and that their IT company refuses to listen to them. I was unable to receive a receipt from a terminal that was supposed to be functioning. The employee had to verbally communicate my customized salad order to the person preparing it from the register, not realizing that I had paid extra for double of some items. I was frustrated that they would not accept my virtual Blue Light Card, despite providing ID. When I requested a refund, the employee was unable to get the machine to work. I visited here on my to Dover with my friend. We ordered 2 mighty mexican’s. 1 normal and 1 gluten free. When the guy behind the counter passed them over to us we asked “which one is the gluten free one” his reply was “ none”. We had used the touch pad to order. He just took one back and made another one . The normal one was overflowing with salad, chicken, spicy beans, mashed avocado, cheddar, warm tortilla chips and a warm tomato dressing with super grains. It looked lovely. My gluten free one looked as though it had died. All there was in the box was chicken, salad and avocado.
