"Our guide recommended the Cibi Cotti restaurant inside the market, but it was full and our pram wouldn't fit anyway. So we ended up at this restaurant by the entrance of the market. You can see some of the food when you come in and there were old locals at the table, which is a good sign. It looks like a family run business, the waitress took the time to describe all the food they propose (6 primi, 6 secondi roughly), even though she didn't speak english. We chose the gnocchi with blue cheese and nut sauce, and the penne amatriciana (bacon and onion tomato sauce) to start with. We loved it, so did our 2 year old daughter (no baby chair). We went on with the fish on potatoes, grilled chicken (you could have it with lemon and bread crumbs) and a mixture of contorni (side orders), as you can see on the picture. It came up to 30 euros, with a nice house wine and coperto. You can also have a fresh juice, or a Kefir, for those who like that."

Surprisingly amazing cuisine on the cheap. There are places in Naples that cook worse food and ask for way more.

Looks like an authentic eatery. We only stopped for a coffee ice cream it was rather good not expensive. Worth it.

The only place in Napoli when you can find home made kefir and a good home yoghurt too. It's also possible to get first courses for lunch and of course, enjoy a wonderful breakfast or a good ice-cream.

I had to drop by the American Consulate and came across this stilylish bistrot: great food, huge variety, simply delicious. They even have this amazing ice cream coming from Remy (it looks like it's THE ice cream place in Naples).

I was recommended this little bistrot-style restaurant and had dinner here (I was the only customer). They went out of their way to accommodate me and my special wishes and make me feel at home. The food was simple and good (I had a salad with fries and a grilled sausage). They have nice comfy booths for those who want to sit down. If I worked in the area, this would become my regular lunch place. They offer a huge variety of food including a wide range of yoghurts and deserts. Would definitely come back!
