Inutile cercare alternative. Il Pordo è il Top per mangiare in modo genuino senza tirarsela piatti tipici del Chianti. I fiori fritti sono un must assoluto e poi la bistecca. Il tutto sotto il pergolato e poi la location a Valigondoli!

What a gem to find on a wonderful stroll during our trip through Tuscany! The proprietors served our group of 16 quickly efficiently. The fresh grilled peppers were a thing of beauty. So sweet to sit outside and take in the surrounding views.

Ci siamo arrivati da una strada bianca facendo uno splendido giro in bici tra i vigneti, i paesaggi e i saliscendi tipici della Toscana. Accoglienza deliziosa tanto quanto tutto quel che abbiamo mangiato. Tutto annaffiato da un ottimo Chianti classico riserva cantina Fattoria Ispoli. Locale tipico sia per la cucina che per il contesto. La struttura in pietra, situata in fondo ad una strada sterrata di un centinaio di metri, è immersa nel verde e offre, nella bella stagione, la possibilità di mangiare all'aperto in tutta tranquillità. Piatti tipici e semplici. Ottimi i funghi fritti, buona la carne e i dolci. Abbiamo passato una bella domenica a tavola lontani dal mondo. Consigliato

In the over 15 years that we keep returning to Pordo when we're in the region, we anticipate our meal with eagerness each time. As noted by others, the range of choice is limited but we always find seasonal specialties that we appreciate. It's the closest we have ever experienced to home dining in a restaurant. Over the years Pordo has become an icon for us as one of our favorite restaurants in the world.

In a very small and quiet “borgo” in the heart of Chianti, this place, with a beautiful yard in the summer, offers a simple but very good cuisine, in which the fried meat and vegetables prevail, truly remarkable for quality and variety. We stumbled upon this restaurant for a quick lunch and it did not disappoint. From the excellent Tuscan food to the friendly service and peaceful, leafy outlook we were so glad we stopped. Mixed salad was simple but very fresh. The ravioli with burratina and pomodoro sauce was perfection. The tomatoes were the best we’ve had in Italy; sweet, rich and fresh. We also tried a tagliatelle with pork ragu which was delicious surprisingly light. We would absolutely recommend!!!

Luogo incantevole, persone squisite.. Si mangia benissimo!!! Possibilità di mangiare in un'accogliente saletta al chiuso con arredamento rustico, e nella stagione più calda sotto al portico all'aperto. Il ristorante si affaccia sulla piazza di un antico borghetto, si è lontani da caos e confusione. Il servizio offerto accontenta tutti, pur essendo famoso per le carni e il fritto è varia e di grande qualità anche l'offerta vegana e vegetariana. Adatto anche a bambini che possono correre liberamente nel dopocena nello spazio esterno privo di macchine e pericoli.

Before writing this review i had a quick look at Tripadvisor and was quite surprised at the bad reviews sometimes written about this place. Having eaten at several restaurants over the last 2 weeks I was pleasantly surprised by this low key place in a tiny location. There is nothing fancy about this restaurant plastic chairs tell the story, but I felt the food was very authentic and something a bit different. My wife had been here before and had the pork ribs, so we had those, but I had a special of spicy grilled chicken which was delicious and the equal best pasta of the trip in a simple tomato/ basil and cheese sauce.
