Verona Restaurant - Carta

Vi käkade en enkel men ändå gedigen lunch här. Helt OK pasta carbonara, även om råvarorna (skinkan) kändes lite billiga. Hur som helst så fick vi vad vi betalade för och blev nöjda.

We were feeling lazy so just plumped for this restaurant as it was just opposite our hotel. We couldn't have chosen better. The Italian food was gorgeous, we had a starter, main and desert. The location was fabulous, as we sat right by the water. The staff were incredible, couldn't be more helpful, and spoke great English. What was best was it wasn't expensive at all! Would definitely recommend

It's set at a beautiful location, by the canal. You would see the odd boat going by and you'd be sitting in a very idyllic setting.The food was pretty good and they do have a good collection of drinks as well.The only downside was that it took me quite a while to get served. If you are in a rush, you might not want to go here. But if you have time to have a leisurely and heavy lunch, go right ahead. Ver carta

Came here for lunch/coffee and cake with some friends. Looking at the restaurant you would definitely expect better service and better food. We had to call a waiter to finally place our order after waiting quite a while. Then one of the cakes was dry as if it had been several days old and a hot chocolate was lukewarm. The rest of the food was passable but nothing to come back for. Very disappointing.

Certo, non consiglierei mai questo ristorante se non ci si trovasse nei paraggi. Noi avevamo l'hotel a poche centinaia di metri e quindi abbiamo optato per un pranzo veloce al Verona.Ha poco di italiano ma nel complesso è stato tutto piacevole. Gentile il personale, carina la location. Menu molto vario, buoni piatti di carne, c'è anche pasta e pizza per chi non può farne a meno. La qualità è discreta, con un buon rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Starter was lovely but mains were served before we had finished. I sent them back asking for time until we had finished starter but five minutes later they were brought back again. We accepted them this time as we had almost finished but the staff didn't speak to us again all evening. Had they carried on normally we would have left good feedback as food was nice but their manners were dreadful! We were'nt offered a dessert or more drinks hence the poor feedback. Won't go back!! This was one nice discovery. We just walked into the restaurant without any expectations & loved the hospitality as well the food. The Pizza was excellent & so were other dish, like Pasta & several others we tried. First day, we were welcomed by one "Kashif" (hope I spelt correctly). Impressed by the food, his recommendations & hospitality, we promised him to come back. We also missed giving him a tip, so returned again, but he was on leave the next day. But we enjoyed the food, services & the location.

Had dinner at Verona this evening. The staff is friendly and they allow guests to have a quiet dinner, that's why I tend to call the service slow but that is not bad if you are looking for some time with friends or family. For a business dinner on your own it is not the best thing though. The food is good and tastes really freshly cooked. Had the Italian Wedding Soup, Shrimp with some wine and was happy with the taste and portion size. All in all a nice place, nothing special but I can appreciate that if I am away long periods from home.

Our first evening in Berlin after just landing, we couldn't find anywhere to eat! Luckily stumbled across the Verona. Set in the lovely location next to the canal. It was chilled, relaxing, just what we needed.Being vegetarians you can't always assume you'll get a good option on the menu, but an Italian is always a great place. Thinking we'd be having a pizza, it was a lovely surprise to see veggie burger on the menu! It was really nice.The service was really friendly and made us feel very welcome.
