Great service. Friendly staff. Really nice vegan burgers and chips. We had to move our reservation but they were very accommodating. (As an aside, the Ladies toilets smell really nice. Like sweet almond. .

A lovely hotel and restaurant in an idyllic location. We had a beautiful Sunday Lunch, freshly prepared, hot and with a friendly smile. This isn't our first visit and we have always enjoyed the ambience and historic nature of the building.

My dad's cousins were visiting and had never been to Boscastle before, and had asked me to suggest a place for dinner (which they very kindly treated me to) We were all very happy with our meals and the friendly and welcoming staff. Very easy to book a table and we had a lovely evening. Ver carta

My pagan group has become accustomed to holding spiritual events at the Wellington when the weather is inclement, as we have found no better venue anywhere. Every time we have encountered a charming welcome, excellent food and friendly, nothing-is-too-much-trouble service. I can't praise them enough.

Four of us had Sunday lunch and it was without doubt the best roast dinner we have had and we have visited a lot of pubs in Cornwall to sample them !!! The ambience was very relaxing and the staff were welcoming and very friendly and made the whole experience one to remember and we will definitely be returning when we next return to beautiful Cornwall

Emily gave the most warm welcome to me and my dog at gone 10pm when I thought everywhere would be closed on a Sunday. I’d left home 10hrs previously and after my exhaust pipe falling off on the A303 an hr into my 3 hr drive I was desperate for a friendly drink and relax before setting up camp for the night in the Motorhome. We came here to meet up with friends from down in Cornwall it’s about halfway. Nice place, but cold! It was warmer in the gents toilets than in the bar! Never experienced that before. Food was good, although my burger was on the smallest plate on the planet! There is a “thing “ these days for trendy plating but there’s no substitute for a proper plate that has room for the whole meal. After more than 40 years in hospitality it really winds me up and don’t get me started on slates!!!

We had high hopes of this restaurant considering all the great reviews. We went for an early evening meal, and I ordered the steak and ale pie, with my wife ordering the pumpkin and sage ravioli. The meal came quickly, but that was the end of the great experience. The steak and ale pie contained mostly gravy with only a small few bits of steak. The ravioli was overcooked and tough, swimming in butter, which resulted in a very greasy offering. These days, the vegetarian option should be more imaginative and tasty. Been meaning to visit here for a long time so headed over for a belated valentines meal. From the minute we got here we were made to feel welcome and at ease given a table upstairs and allowed a good amount of time to choose from a very tasty looking menu. The drinks were served and then the food which was amazing very well presented and tasted fabulous my stater of panko pork belly was to die for and the mussels for mains the best I gave tasted the sauce was incredible. The chefs have definitely learnt their trade exceptionally well. The waiters were very good with the right amount of attentiveness without being intrusive and made the night special.
