Nice coffee and cool drinks for the kids. Terrace overlooking the sea has a really good relaxed atmosphere. Great for a warm evening.

We're local and love stopping for a drink after a walk on the beach. The staff in Le Jardin Citron (the beer garden in a converted van) are a credit to the place too.

We stayed at the White Lodge recently and dinner was absolutely gorgeous. The fish and chips were particularly good lovely fresh fish and crispy batter. We can’t wait to come back!

Twice we have tried to eat at this restaurant, first time we couldn't book because they had a coach party coming, this week because they had a funeral in. Couldn't even have a coffee. Not good service and would not bother to try again.

Consistently great food presented with flair and served by genuinely nice people. Great back bar with high end spirit choice and beautiful Filey Gin flowing freely as well as great Rum and Cognac selection. One of the few places that is open 7 days a week 365 days a year. Not a stuffy hotel atmosphere you will be welcome just for a beer or a Tea. NO dogs except outside.

Visited for Sunday lunch whilst in Filey. The starter was far from hot, but when I asked for the main course to be hot, it was actioned . I have visited a few times previously. They used to have an experienced head waiter, but now the wait staff all seem very young and personality is not their strong point, apart from one girl. They now no longer offer bread rolls with meals but know how to charge for service by very young staff who may be inexpensive to hire but would benefit from better training.

We booked the White Lodge as a venue for our wedding. We dealt with Dean from the outset who assisted us with the whole process and made sensible suggestions (not upselling just benefits of experience) and provided welcome advice. The location within beautiful Filey bay with amazing views to sea from both the ceremony room and the restaurant should be seen to be believed. We stayed in a room with these views, I suspect these views being available from quite a few of the other rooms too. All the staff were friendly and the quality of the chosen meal was excellent. All in all a wonderful day was enjoyed by all our guests.

We live locally and have dined here for the past five years. During this time the restaurant has grown in its presentation of excellent food and wine and, more latterly, in its quality of service. Moving from Ilkley in West Yorkshire, we have been used to a high standard of dining experience. The White Lodge now offers this high standard and we thoroughly recommend it to all. This evening we enjoyed perfectly prepared lamb and the superb attention of a young man, whom we found, upon asking, to be Ukrainian. We are in Filey quite a bit and love supporting all its restaurants however we hadn’t tried the White Lodge the place is beautifully decorated as you walk in , modern , fresh , calm with hints of the seascape about but nothing over the top and nothing to spoil the view of Filey Bay and Brigg from the airy , clean , modern and comfortable restaurant. Plenty of choice of interesting dishes from the Sunday menu with the expected roasts and a top quality wine list written in a way that helped you to choose what you wanted .
