Wild Rocket Restaurant Bar

We were absolutely impressed by the incredibly tasty and well-prepared food, accompanied by the wonderful service from attentive and friendly staff. A great value and we will definitely be returning the next time we are in Bridgwater!

During our journey to a countryside wedding, we decided to stop at this restaurant for a quick lunch. The overall experience was unremarkable, but I did enjoy the soup of the day, despite it being overly salty. The bread was a pleasant surprise, however.

This is an excellent restaurant at any time for any meal be it breakfast lunch or dinner, the staff are so helpful and friendly nothing is too much trouble. Last night we hired the venue for a private wedding celebration we had an incredible evening, the food was wonderful and the staff went above and beyond to make it a night to remember. Pleasant welcome and offered choice of seating. Lunchtime menu main meals not the cheapest, so my daughter and I sent with the mature cheese and onion sandwich with fries. Cheese was grated which is the wrong presentation, it should be sliced if nature cheddar. My wife went did the soup of the day. Roasted peppers which was incredibly salty. As we were limited by the time of our car parking, when asked the staff were slow to take our order and fir us to pay our bill.

First time visiting Wild Rocket, and I was very pleasantly surprised. As an international family, we travel a lot and live in various global locales, and I can honestly say that the American pancakes were better than anything I’ve tasted in America (my wife and sons are US citizens, so I’ve had many). Also, the Eggs Royale was of top quality. Excellent food topped off with wonderful, attentive staff. Perhaps the best eating experience I’ve had in the years visiting Bridgwater. Bravo!

The restaurant is very overpriced for the quality of food. I ordered a bacon sandwich and was disappointed to receive two tiny slices of pre-cut supermarket bread instead of the expected crusty bread. My husband ordered the full English breakfast, which was also overpriced. The fried eggs were still runny on top and the sausages had a strange dark and peppery flavor, making us think they were vegetarian. Although the staff were friendly, they took a long time to take our order as they were busy chatting with the bartender. The drinks were also pricey. After seeing the lunch menu with its exorbitant prices, we decided we will not be returning to this restaurant. Ver carta

This is the return visit so after our last meal here I decided to avoid the steak and went instead for fish and chips to be on the safe side, My starter was the calamari, this was a meal for 10 people and the place was very busy resulting in very slow service we waited 30 minutes for a bottle of wine to arrive and even then we needed to go to the bar to prompt them. So the starters the calamari was definitely avarage but others in our group had chicken stripes and some had creamy mushrooms which were both very good. Anther long wait of 40 minutes for the mains but when they arrived they were all good we had no complaints at all so apart from very slow service all was good.

We had organised a dinner for over 60 people at the Wild Rocket, having forwarded (almost) everyone's menu choices in advance. Experience of similar efforts in the past is that this can present a challenge people forget and/or change their choices and different meals arrive at wildly different times. No such problems at Wild Rocket, where everything worked like clockwork and staff and the kitchen too any last minute changes in their stride. That involved serving dozens of dishes, including tricky ones like sea bass, bang on time and cooked to perfection. To add to the enjoyment, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful literally nothing was too much trouble. If I lived in or near Bridgwate...

Fantastic place with amazing food, drink and staff! We came down to Somerset for the weekend for a wedding and the brides family recommended Wild Rocket for our second night we were not disappointed. The restaurant is clean, modern, spacious and stylish. The food is INCREDIBLE. Every single thing that came from the kitchen looked delicious. The cocktails are also beautiful. Staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to make sure your smiling and laughing etc. Was nice to hear the music and chat coming from the kitchen.
