This was our first visit to the inn and we are so glad we found this charming and cozy place. The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and enjoyable. Peter, our host, was exceptional and full of character, while Ada went above and beyond to make our stay special. The chef prepared delicious food, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and inviting, with incredibly comfortable beds. We would recommend this inn to anyone looking for great food, comfort, and hospitality. Rooms: 5 stars.

We visited this restaurant in Sandsend after hearing that it was under new management since our last visit. We had a great experience and decided to return for lunch. The staff, particularly a friendly woman, made our visit enjoyable with some pleasant conversation. We tried the soup with breadcrumbs as an appetizer, followed by a delicious carrot cake for dessert. The soup was thick and flavorful, served with crusty bread and the carrot cake was moist and satisfying. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and look forward to returning in the future. Ver carta

I must say, this restaurant is fantastic. We booked for Sunday dinner during our week-long stay nearby. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and very helpful. We also booked for a special occasion and the chips were out of this world - the best I've ever had. We ended up going back for a third meal before heading home, and once again, we were not disappointed. We will definitely be coming back next year. Kudos to all the hardworking staff, it was a pleasure dining here and a special shoutout to the chef for braving the heat to create such amazing dishes.

The food at this restaurant was delightful and offered good value for money. The chef took the time to come out and chat with us, showing a friendly and helpful demeanor. He even shared where he purchased the amazing decor in the restaurant. The building itself was stunning and adorned with beautiful decorations. However, I deducted one star for two reasons: (1) there was a sign in the women's restroom that had a slightly concerning message about weight loss, which seemed out of place and (2) a comment made to my vegan friend by the owner/manageress, suggesting she should just eat meat, was inappropriate and made my friend feel uncomfortable.

Stayed one night 12th Oct, at the Witching Post, what a wonderful quirky place it is, Pete the landlord very nice man, and his gorgeous dogs Nellie n Molly, made us feel very welcome indeed. Room 2 was at top of steep stairs, views out of bedroom window looking over village very quiet place, had nice walk thru woods with our 2 dogs. The room was light and airy, comfortable bed, with a small sofa in a little nook, to read and watch the world go by, albeit very slowly Dinner was very tasty indeed, the steak I had was cooked perfectly, Molly n Nellie enjoyed a few bits that were left so did our 2.
