Woodforde's Brewery

My experience was disappointing; the food was not warm, many items were unavailable, and our meal was disturbed by loud dogs at the table next to us.

Lovely pub and very popular. Good menu reasonably priced . Food was well presented but vegetables were over done and not much of them. Service good and would recommend

Great Beer, average roasts. Vegetarian options limited and the Quorn roast as a substitute for the nut roast was very disappointing very plain and tasteless. Other roasts were average. Lovely location, great range of beers and overall ambience great. Ver carta

wonderful pub with traditional British pub dug. because this pub is next to the woodfordes brewery, I really recommend on brewery tour first. fascinating insights into how the ales are brewed. when you book the tour, you will also get the ales of their choice and get a discount from their meal. fantastic

It was what was probably busy as you would expect on a Sunday afternoon so service was still good but with all these things you need to keep a good balance, so was not surprised that there wasn’t a member of staff forever circling the table, but everyone was really friendly and coped well. I left a good tip which in my mind was thoroughly deserved.

There is a nice selection of main dishes available, including burgers, pizza, sausage and mash, and a few additional options. We tried the Moving Mountain Burger and the Pilzstroganoff, both of which were enjoyable. However, there were no vegan starters on the menu, and the only dessert option was a sorbet. We have visited this pub during many of our vacations in the area. Yesterday, we decided to stop by at 2 o'clock. While our drinks were served fairly quickly, the food took an hour to arrive. My meal was only warm when it finally came. When I went to pay, the staff member asked if everything was okay. I mentioned that my food was not hot and that we had waited an hour. In response, they explained that they were short-staffed and only had two chefs working.

Although the food was excellent, we had to wait half an hour before anyone took our order. After that, it took another hour for our food to arrive. We wanted more drinks but ended up getting them from the bar since there was no staff available to ask. No one checked on us to see if the food was okay, and after waiting half an hour for the dessert menu, we decided to leave. Many tables were cluttered with empty plates and glasses because there was no one to clean them up. It's such a shame because we love this place and have never had an experience like this before. On arrival fought to get someone's attention to let them know that we booked a table. At some point someone asked and sat, took some menus. Ordinary drinks that were taken forever, then they wandered around and looked for them to give them! Eating also took a while, there were plenty of staff, but none of them seemed to know what they did. There were tables that had left the people and were not quickly deleted, quite openly it was a shame. In the end we are told to pay at the bar, went to the bar to be told to go the other end.
