"I have not visited for a while as my last visit was not a very positive experience, however, I returned today for lunch after hearing of the change in management. I was greeted with such a warm and friendly welcome from all the staff, Dean in particular was great and very patient with us, as we tried to choose what to have from the many options. We both chose the steak and ale pie which did not disappoint! All in all a great experience, we can't wait to return!"

had a lunch sandwich today, the staff was nice and the sandwich was really delicious and quite huge. if they have a small appetit would recommend sharing it! impressed. a little slow, but that's worth waiting.

Great service tonight. Came in for a couple of drinks and some food. Can not complain about either. Food was great value for money. Recommend the pizza. Darts night was on which gave the pub a great vibe. Very warm and friendly.

I have been here on several occasions for the steak night on a Wednesday, the food has been consistently good and the steaks have been cooked to perfection! Excellent value for money and exceptional service on every visit. Well done to Steve and the team

Just a friendly pub and the management do everything possible to keep the place busy and lively. The entertainment is always good and the staff are always nice. The place is always spotlessly clean too. The food is a good price and is always good quality and cooked well.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience. I arrived and my booking wasn’t on the list. We asked for a drinks menu and I was handed a cocktail list, later we managed to get a wine list instead. The food came out and had items missing, the salad had no rice or quinoa, the other meals had no crispy onions as listed on the menu. When mentioned, we didn’t even get a sorry or offer of any discount. The table and seats were not clean either. We won’t be returning.
