I recently dined at a cozy country pub that surprisingly offers a gluten-free menu. I tried the fish and chips with onion rings and it was delicious. They fry everything in a gluten-free batter, so anyone who orders the fish and chips receives a gluten-free version. I would definitely return to this charming pub.

had lunch here, got drinks from the bar ordered eating on the table ( 1. people in there) took food order and came 10 minutes later to say that we don't get any cables. we would have known it would have gone elsewhere, but so remained soaked. instead ordered scampi and it came on cold plates. £20 pfund was deducted from the bill, but would sooner be the cod. Maybe they have the cod next time we go back.

My friends and I visited The Windmill on a Saturday in November. The reception and ambiance were lovely, with a big open fire and a friendly atmosphere. We all enjoyed different meals, from steak to fish, all of which were fresh and of very good quality, and at a reasonable price. The downstairs lounge bar where we sat was busy but great. After we have eaten in the restaurant for years, we decided to take a 2 hours round trip to lunch. we will not hurry to go back. the menu was very simple, there was no fish and chips available, which was surprising as it is a popular lunch dish and after the choice of another food option after an hour it had not arrived. we said there was a problem with the grill and if we were happy to wait, it would be eating with us soon." Although this is not my local ...I’ve had the pleasure of doing some work refurbishing it this week . All I can say is THAT IS HOW TO RUN A PUB ! For the last three days I’ve earwigged in on a team of people that truly care . The phone rings constantly with reservations and each and every time it’s answered it’s with care and attention . We were fed whilst working there and the food was prompt and truly delicious ....we were made to feel truly welcome . Imagine it's your wedding anniversary and your looking for a good night out !.That's just what we didn't get !!!Looked at the menu, Ah Beef Wellington, Not cheap at about each, but what the hell we will have it. The meal came out and to my surprise it looked like a burger with a bit of pastry thrown around it, Definitely not fillet of Beef as it should be and no pate' between the meat and pastry.
