Have ordered cod and chips a few times now from Zara’s and they are so fresh and tasty Would definitely recommend 10/10 Thank you Zara’s

The cod, fish cakes, and crispy chips were excellent. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The food was quick to prepare.

Where do you start? Staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food is truly superb. It’s not about awards and publicity I’m afraid. I will never use another chip shop, pricing of food is good and you are getting your monies worth. Chips are cooked to perfection, the fish is amazing! Especially the haddock.

I’m such a lover of fish and chips and just happened to try Zara’s one lunchtime, I never looked back. Everything is always so fresh, hot and tasty. By far the best chippy in Colchester. I’m amazed they don’t have hundreds of great reviews. EXCELLENT fish and chips, that’s the opinion of a self titled expert.

I recently had the best fish and chips I've had in a long time at this restaurant. My two daughters also loved their meals, with one having chicken nuggets and the other having wings, both with chips and curry sauce. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will definitely be returning for more delicious food. I never ever order Cod as I really don't like it but after eating cod and chips from Zara's I've been converted Their food is delicious and always freshly prepared. They even offer smaller portions costing £5 which is great for pensioners or people wanting a smaller portion(however it is more than enough for one person)theres also the added touch of a wedge of fresh lemon with every order. I cant praise this place enough, the staff are always lovely and friendly, so if you're looking for a treat that will delight look no further. AMAZING!!!

As someone very partial to a chippy, I was very glad when I moved to the area that I was fortunate enough to have this place on my doorstep. My housemate and I usually visit here once a week, and we've never been disappointed with either the service nor the food. The pricing is good value for money, and the selection on the menu is admirable. They offer delivery through Just Eat, but should you be willing to collect your order I recommend you phone them up and place it, as you will find this more affordable. Their phone number can be found on their website, as can all other details regarding them. I highly recommend Zara's, they've been open for nearly a decade now and it's clear to see why.

Placed a call and collect order of one beef burger meal and one veggie burger meal. My partner asked for salad but no cheese on his, and I requested just salad, no sauce or cheese. The ‘salad’ in each burger consisted of three bits of limp, old lettuce with some cooked onions sprinkled on mine for some reason. They also added cheese onto my partners burger, which is not ideal considering he is lactose intolerant and the request was not just a matter of taste. The chips where also disappointing so we ended up throwing most of the meal away. All in all a miserable take away that was certainly not worth the money. I’d advise low quality expectations if ordering here, we certainly won’t be going... Ver carta
