Great todays special food. One of the best foodplaces in Giessen so far. Todays special includes soup starter. Pizza does not look very great :/

4 of us had dinner here. We all ordered jager snitzzel and we all agreed it was excellent. Will definitly be returning for same again. Good value €10:50.

Myself and a colleague enjoyed coming here a couple of times, nice food and atmosphere all the staff spoke English which was a bonus too, the food is nice and the price not too.bad considering its in the centre Ver carta

We (3 persons) had a nice lunch which included gnocci, spaghetti bolognese and a combination plate of filled pasta. All the dishes were generous in size and very tasty. The house wine went well with the food. If you are looking for a reasonably priced place for lunch with decent food, you can't go wrong here.

If you are that kind of person who admires that sweet guy who tries any kind of bug at Travel channel, this is definitely your place! Who would ever expect to order the authentic carbonara and get experid backon at an Italian , at least as they claim, restaurant. The worst part is that the waitor just didn't mind I left my food almost untouched!The pizzas were good enough, as my male and hungry family members said. You get my point of view!

I travel solo, a great deal. I am sensitive that during busy times, many restaurants may not want singles occupying their tables. But when I approached Zum Loewen, there were several vacant tables. Nonetheless, the wait staff made it clear that they did not want to serve me. I stayed because I noticed another patron enjoying the mussels, and they looked darn good. Well I got the mussels, and a beer and it was darn good. So I would give them five for food and one for service, they netted a three. Ver carta

This restaurant is one of the most comfortable and cozy places to eat and relax in Gießen. The pizza always seems to hit the spot and the menu is full of numerous choices. We made reservations which appeared to be unnecessary, but were told that during the Christmas season that a Sunday evening is considered slow. The appetizer of mozzarella, tomatoes and basil is delightful and was very fresh. The wine list is comprised only of Italian varieties. The wait staff is attentive, approachable, and helpful. Pricewise very reasonable. Das Restaurant ist wohl sehr gemütlich und die Pizzas schmecken. Leider wird nur italienischer Wein angeboten. Trotzdem ist das Restaurant empfehlungswert.

they wander through this Bavarian restaurant. normally I wouldn't give it a second look. you go into the inner also looks very Bavarian. the rooms are filled with large aroma clean bright. they go early, but the European standards they still welcome. with a big smile. they needed a break in English when they ask and offer an English menu. the portions are very good and make sure that they start with their broth and olive oil spicy seasons with red and green paprika. if you need a bit more mild, they also have it. The menu and the pricing is indirect in the selection, including vegetarian dishes. another interesting point is in contrast to many restaurants in decent they take credit cards.

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel concierge and informed that it was one of the oldest buildings in Gießen.The restaurant is located deep within the pedestrianised shopping centre and was in easy walking distance to our hotel on Westanlage.We ordered a range of starters; the tomato with the mozzarella was sweet and flavoursome and the bruschetta was also very good. I ordered a large steak with pepper sauce and the knife glided through the meat. I would have preferred the pepper sauce to be on the side and not poured over the steak but this is a minor point. Everyone else around the table appeared to enjoy their main courses too with dishes ranging from calf liver, calamari and... Ver carta
