Traditional German food. Nothing to write home about the execution could be a lot better, but it’s ok together with a beer.

The pork steak was tough but the liver dumplings were very good. Nice selection of beer and wine. Small restaurant with adequate service.

The White Swan is Located on Heidelberg‘s Hauptsrasse an extremely picturesque street. The White Swan serves traditional German fare and it is excellent. They do potatoes exceptionally well. I recommend the potato pancakes and Bratkartoffeln.

Tourist scam. Do not recommend. Poor service, poor food quality. Waiter shouting at customers. Definitely would not recommend to others. I was charged around for so-called COMPULSORY SERVICE FEE additional to VAT. WORST restaurant I have ever been to!

My Dad and I left a sub par restaurant down the road and came here. Despite it being Christmas Eve they were punctual, friendly, and served some of the best German food I’ve had in my month stay in Germany. I definitely recommend taking...a break from sightseeing here. Phenomenal is the word I’d use to describe this establishment. Ver carta

The food served has a lack of flavour. The attitude of the waiter is extremely unfriendly. I was asked for tips for bad food and when I refuse to pay the tip, the owner of the restaurant came out and assault me and my friends!...Even threaten to call the police if we do not give any tips. certain rip-offs and tourist scam! Very poor!

My husband and I enjoy meals here each time we visit Heidelberg, usually three times each year. The restaurant is always quite busy, but service moves well and there are many seating options. The soup and mixed salad are very nice and fresh, they don't...mind when we opt to share. We usually order schnitzels and enjoy the paprika, Jaeger, and parmigiana varieties very much. Also, the mixed grill is wonderful. The cost is very average for the area, the beer and wine lists are very good. We always choose this lovely place for our first meal in town.

We went for simple and authentic German cuisine, something most Bierstube like restaurants in German speaking countries can deliver. You seldom go wrong with this uncomplicated food. This restaurant proofed to be an unpleasant exception however. We were served cold undercooked vegetables, greasy undercooked fries...and a dry mixed grill skewer of which I doubt if it ever touched an actual grill. To top it al off they serve an embarrassing plain open wine, the white as well as te red. On a positive note I can tell that the waitress was friendly a polite. Too bad, this White Swann turned out to be the ugly duckling that never became the gracious waterbird it was meant to be. Heidelberg deserve... Ver carta
