This was a warm and inviting restaurant. We enjoyed their dark beer on tap with our meal. The asparagus menu was out (the season for white asparagus) and one of us had white asparagus with a turkey cutlet (puten schnitzel). The other had a herring plate. We both enjoyed our meals. The price was very reasonable for our dinners. The service was good. Remember that many German restaurants, including this one, require cash; they do not take credit cards.

We came in from the pouring rain on a summer's evening and were welcomed to a nice little table for two in the non-smoking section (thank God they provide one). Candles lit and thereafter efficient, attentive and friendly service from the two young waitresses. The portions of the food we had were well-sized. (Burger with wedges and pieces of pork in a rich sauce with Spätzle), all nice and tasty, maybe the burger could have had less minutes on the frying pan... very affordable prices!!

While taking a trip down memory lane me and family came to Celle and had a stroll around and stumbled across this place for lunch and we are soooo glad we did!! The beer was fantastic but the food was by far the best German food we have had all weekend!!! We had burgers, stuffed cabbage, stuffed schnitzel with cheese and ham, croquettes, pork medallions , everything! And it was all delicious and beautifully presented! The staff were also first class and even read the menu to us in English which was a lovely touch! Would definitely come back again! Ver carta
