"In March we went in search of a genuine swiss fondue and found Schtund. The staff was very friendly and their prices reasonable by Zurich standards. The waitress asked us if we had eaten the omas, and we asked what this was and were told...that it was the crusty cheese left in the bottom of the pan. Needless to say my husband finished this off. We mentioned that I was lactose intolerant and she explained that the cheese they uses (Emmental and Gruyere) were naturally lacto free by process. I don't normally like cherries but one of the ingredients is kirsch (cherry schnapps) but I was pleasantly surprised what a difference it made to the taste as we had had one In Zermatt without the kirsch. We wanted to go back when we were there again in May but unfortunately it was a bank holiday Monday so it was shut, shame."

Die Flammkuchen sind spektakulär und der Service großartig. Ich besuchte das Restaurant mit meinem Freund und wir waren uns beide über die gute Qualität der Gerichte einig. Absolut zu empfehlen. Ver carta

Had a very good fondue with an excellent Pinot Noir. quick and friendly service. This is a very small place but it is part of the character, a meal here is like being on the Alps for a couple of hours. Will visit again

We were walking by and decided to stop here. The food here was great we had a torte, a salad, and white wine suggested by the waiter. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful and we were eager to try something new. Nice atmosphere,...the other diners were very friendly, and we really loved our first Swiss meal here. Ver carta

(Traducido por Google) El Flammkuchen es muy publicitado pero no estaba disponible debido a la hora del día en que lo visité (alrededor de las 14:00). Tomé el Rosti en su lugar y fue bueno. (Original) The Flammkuchen is very advertised but was not available due to the time of day when I visited (around 14:00). I took the Rosti instead and it was good.

"This is my fav Italian joint in Zurich. La Famiglia Tremonte is a small, family run cafe-restaurant that serves excellent and authentic Italian food at prices that are low compared to the norm in Zurich.Famiglia Tremonte is rather inconspicuously located at the corner of Zurlindenstrasse and Birmensdorferstrasse, a couple of doors away from The Desperado Mexican Restaurant. You might need to look for it a little: I lived practically next door and did not notice it for almost a year, and even then a friend had to point it out to me.The restaurant is mostly a takeout with very little seating, i.e. 7 people inside, and when the weather is goo, about 5 people outside. The ambience is basic but, like most things in Switzerland, the interiors are very clean. Staff and service are very goo. The food here is awesome! Authentic Italian fare that is probably heavily influenced by Sicilian tradition since that is where the family is from. I used to visit almost every day because the food tastes great and the prices are so low for Zurich. I have tried almost everything: several pasta dishes, polpettine, stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf, piadina, and of course, the fabulously tasty and hot chilli infused EVOO. I enjoyed every dish I ordered. Great stuff! I strongly recommend the super-hot chilli infused EVOO as a seasoning for almost all dishes, but especially the pasta dishes that come in a cream sauce. Please be careful with chilli EVOO: 0.5 tbsp. for noobs, and a max. of 2 tbsp. for those who like it hot. The chilli EVOO, when used appropriately, adds great flavour to your dish. The piadina is the best I have eaten - period. I have been all over the world, spent a lot of time in Italy and New York (: great place for Italian food lovers :), and I still think this is the best piadina ever. They also serve some nice Italian desserts -- I've tried a few but have forgotten the names. They also have a small selection of Italian ingredients for sale. I bought the pesto and was happy with it. You also get a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic Italian drinks to go with the food.Prices are relatively low by Zurich standards: I rarely ever ate for more than CHF 15, and if I skipped the drinks it was usually around CHF 10. Of course, this varies a bit according to what you order.Highly recommended. Glad I found this place. Great for office workers in the vicinity."
