"We are fairly frequent visitors to Basel in order to visit our daughter, who has lived and worked in this lovely city for about 6 years. After a long delay due to COVID, we have returned this week to celebrate her 30th birthday. We always...stay at the Les Troia Rois, which is always top flight, and is again. We also always have at least one dinner meal each visit at Cheval Blanc and the magic of Peter Knogl. We had a magnificent dinner for four last night, topped by the saddle of venison (mousse line of celery and sauce rouennaise), sea bass with chorizo and cucumber, and lagoustine and in a light curry and green apple sauce with paired wines. It was a fabulous celebration of our daughter’s birthday and Peter Knogl’s “greatest joy [in] pampering our guests with a cuisine full of color, shape and sunshine.” Such an incredible four hour extravaganza is not cheap, but one doesn’t often find restaurants with 3 Michelin stars and 19 GaultMillau points that are not worth the cost. Cheval Blanc is a relatively small restaurant but gorgeous in decor and a priceless Rhine River view. The service is spectacular, good humored, but serious in its quest for excellence and guest comfort and information. A special ending is a humidor of choice, and immensely fine Swiss chocolates."

"We selected this restaurant because of the good reviews. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. We had a reservation so were seated promptly. They had a limited, assume daily, menu and brought two wines from which we could select. We started with the pumpkin soup which was not super tasty. Had a flammkuchen and boar-filled pasta. The pasta was good but the flammkuchen was disappointing. The service was good. We would like to have been able to give a better rating, but based on the food we had for the cost, we couldn't."

"Ordered via Uber, delivery would have been between 5.55pm and 6.15pm, I called the restaurant at 6.30pm. They informed me that uber would be responsible for the delivery. At 6:40 p.m. I contacted uber, who in turn contacted the restaurant with feedback that the delivery had been canceled. Horrible service! Never again!"

"War bereits einige Male da, immer zu Mittagessen. Man sieht von aussen nicht wirklich au den ersten Blick das es sich um ein Thai Restaurant handelt, auch im innern nicht wirklich. Stört mich aber nicht. Es hat immer gute Mittagsmenues, welche vorspeise und Kaffe enthalten, Preis 20. , was ich sehr fair finde. Personal freundlich und nett. Habe bis jetzt nie eine Reservierung gemacht, da ich spontan gegangen bin. Zu empfehlen!"

"Tasty Indian restaurant that serves every mouth. I have received recommendation from my South Indian neighbors that Bayleaf is the favorite Indian restaurant and they’ve ordered food for parties. I love Malai kofta, ever since my Indian feiend Made it for me. I learned to maue it myself watching the online recipe, but I wanted to try how Bayleaf makes them. So I ordered for lunch along with Shrimp dish. Conclusions: they really maue food Mild in order to adjust to the spice level of the locals I guess. I’ve never had such a mild Indian food as I’ve been mostly served Indian food from my Indian friends. The food was good, but if you want yo have not the creamiest Europeanized curry, better inform them to make them spicy. I was also surprised that Malai kofta had no visible Pander in it. It was potatoes with pistachios and raisins. Again maybe Europeanizing the dish to look more local German food. I liked my friend’s kofta full of punch if flavors and textures with cashew, raisins and elasticity from paneer. I was also surprised about yellow Malawi kofta Sauce and the waiter brought me a bit of butter chicken so I can enjoy the sauce Im more User to. That was very nice."

"Lieber LeserIn meinen Augen ist der Besuch in diesem Lokal, wirklich lohnenswert!Ich geh nun schon seit längerem mindestens 2 mal im Monat dort essen.Die Qualität der Zutaten und den Produkten, die sie daraus machen ist stets auf hohem Niveau! "As we came back from a weekend in Dolomites, not having a chance to eat italian pizza in Italy, we came to Dio Mio at colleague's recommendation. She is Italian and approves of the pizza and so do we. Neapolitan pizza in Basel? Yes, please! The cocktails were great also. I've read somewhere the pizzas are small (not true and that the waiting time is long (also not true, if anything, we got our pizzas too soon! . The staff are lovely, the ambiance inside pretty great too. Overall, simply excellent!"

"I visited the restaurant on my lunch break. There was a great lunch offer for just under CHF 20. This included the selected main menu, which was no smaller than the standard menu on the menu, and an appetizer of your choice, which was, however, reduced in size, e.g. an spring roll or a small bowl of soup. But it was far enough and everything was very tasty and beautifully presented. I'll definitely come back."

"Artigiano in Basel is a true amazing dining experiences! This charming restaurant, specializing in authentic Neapolitan cuisine, offers a delightful ambiance and a menu that tantalizes the taste buds. We love the mouthwatering pizzas, every dish we tried was a perfection which came out of that 450 degrees celcius stone oven. They have a nice variations to choose which everyone can enjoy. This time we sat inside. However, when it’s summer I’m looking forward to sit at their peaceful terrace to enjoy pizza. The service staff, notably Fabrizio and Elisa, were exceptionally attentive, friendly, and truly enhanced our evening. From the warm welcome to the exquisite dishes served, every detail was outstanding. A must-visit for anyone seeking for a romantic or meeting up together with friends in Basel. "I was finally able to stay overnight at the Krafft which I've heard so much about! It was a wonderful experience all around, from the reception at the reception to the stylishly furnished room with the handwritten welcome card, the aperitif in the Consum Bar and the breakfast with the homemade Birchermüesli and the freshly cut fruit salad. What impressed me most was the cheerful and warm team; all the employees I interacted with were super motivated and friendly. I'm really looking forward to my next stay!"

Die Falafel sind meiner Meinung nach Spitzenklasse! "First of all, many thanks to Tobi and his team for the lovely evening I had with my family. We found you thanks to an app. As a vegan, it is still difficult for me to find a selection of good food in restaurants. That's why I can only celebrate this cuisine! From starter, main course to dessert it was just so delicious and really really good. The waiting time between courses was reasonable (all tables were occupied) and so we were able to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and have good conversations and had a wonderful evening. "This restaurant used to be good so I am doubly disappointed by our dinner. The dishes are very prettily presented dishes but the cooking skills are lacking. In addition, there were two incidents that are simply unacceptable in a restaurant of this price category. Four of us ordered the Angus steak (2nd most expensive dish on the menu) and we were asked how done we wanted them. We all picked a different doneness from rare to done. Waitress must have served them randomly because we all ended having a different doneness that we had asked. For example I asked for rare and I got the done one. The wine (red): we sent the first one back because it had a lot of sediment. The second one (different wine) has just as much sediment. We just gave up after that and drank the (not very good) wine."

Es gibt da weit bessere Thairestaurants in Basel und Umgebung.Der Service lässt leider auch zu wünschen übrig.Was auch zu bemängeln ist, die Sauberkeit ausserhalb des Restaurants.Wir haben uns die Mühe gemacht, auch mal hinter den Kulissen nach zusehen, im Hinterhof waren Abfallcontainer, die abartig gestunken haben. Ein wahlloses Durcheinander von Verpackungen und Müll jeglicher Art. Küchenpersonal ohne Haarnetz, zum Teil im Sommer ohne Oberbekleidung.Die Restaurantleiterin ist ganz und gar nicht die nette und freundliche Dame, die sie gern vorgibt, wir haben von sehr vielen ehemaligen Bewohnern des Hauses erfahren, das sie die Leute gerne überwacht und terrorisiert."

"Had a lovely evening meal here with a colleague after attending a conference in the city. We had booked, on a Thurs, and were glad we did cos it was busy. The service was fantastic and made the evening. I ate the potatoe parcels with mushrooms and really enjoyed it, also very happy to get a vegetarian option. There were other vegetarian options available. My colleague had chicken wings and said that they were great. A good time was had by both of us and l would definitely go back."

"Wir waren im Kurzurlaub in Basel und haben uns für das Tandoori Palace entschieden. Das Restaurant war brechend voll, trotzdem hat man für uns noch einen Tisch frei gemacht.Das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich und hat uns die Karte gebracht. Alös Empfehlung wurde uns das Buffet genannt, damit wir verschiedene Gerichte probieren könnten, für welches wir uns dann entschieden haben.Als Vorspeise gab es das klassiche Roti mit diversen Saucen.Im Buffet enthalten ist eine Vorspeise und eine Nachspeise.Zum Buffet gab es ein sehr leckeres Butter Naan, Hühnchen, Lamm, Krabben, Dal und als Beilage Reis.Der Schlag traf uns dann mit der Rechnung, für das Buffet wurde pro Person 40 CHF abgerechnet, das Buffet war definitiv zu teuer, daher auch Punktabzug in der Bewertung. Dies hat uns der Nachbartisch (Stammgäste) bestätigt. Daher ist ein Essen nach Karte zu bevorzugen.Empfehlung für andere: Reservierung unbedingt notwendig Essen nach Karte"
