"Just arrived back from a two night stay at The White Lion and couldn’t praise it high enough. Our first time staying here and from the moment we arrived the staff were all so friendly and helpful couldn’t do enough for you. Lovely young lady shown us to our room which was in the courtyard behind the pub (room 7 it was really lovely, decor was great, bed was so comfortable and bathroom was a great size plus everywhere was spotlessly clean. Free WI FI during your stay is a big plus, room refreshments were a great variety too. A brochure of Hebden Bridge was a nice touch in the room as well. The pub is in a great location central to the town. We jumped on the B3 Brontë bus minutes walk away from the pub to visit Haworth for the day too which was fab. I have to say the breakfast was the best full English breakfast I have ever had (and I’ve had a lot in my time compliments to the chef. The staff waiting on us on both mornings although on their own on each morning did an amazing job seeing to everyone’s needs I couldn’t fault them at all they were really friendly and helpful considering they were serving each table on their own they made sure each table was looked after properly so a big shout out to those girls. On our second night we had booked an evening meal and again food was outstanding! My Hubby had the Steak and Ale pie and I had the rump steak burger with a side of onion rings (by far the best I’ve tasted, batter was really tasty, crispy with a hint of salt perfect! all in all a lovely meal. Staff again was really friendly and helpful. I honestly couldn’t fault a thing our whole stay was just perfect and I will definitely be booking again and recommending to my family and friends. Thanks to everyone at the White Lion for making our stay in Hebden Bridge a memorable one!"

"I first contacted Casa back in February to discuss a large booking request I had for 26 people. I was planning a celebratory meal and asked if I could have a set menu for ease, everyone could pre order and it would make it easier as I was going to be paying for the entire meal I was told no problem and I would have a set menu after the weekend. I waited and waited and never received it so I chased it up. I was then told I would have it in a week as the chef was on leave. Again I receieved nothing. I sent more emails asking for a response and no on answered the telephone when I tried. I was becoming more dissapointed. I then sent a message on social media asking the owner to contact me as I wanted someone to take ownership. The owner did not contact me but someone else emailed me back saying I will have the menu by the next day. this is now April and I'd been asking since February) The menu I recieved was 4 starters and 4 main courses from the main menu and told £27 for two courses! Not one ounce of thought went into it. Every dish offered was a pasta dish and a pizza and if I had combined the starters and mains off the al la carte menu they would only at the most come to £22... and I was being asked for £27!! These figures were plucked out of thin air and a random 4 dishes picked just to pacify me! I was incredibly disappointed. I had asked in my original request for a steak option to be added as a supplement and it was but the supplement was £13, so again more than the ala carte price for a starter and steak. I emailed back advising I was incredibly dissapointed. I had waited 5 month now in total, being ignored numerous times and then to recieve this rubbish. When I emailed back to say how dissapointed i was with this and that I am shocked they are not trying to keep hold of a booking that including drinks and deserts and sides everyone would be ordering, would be a booking worth over £1000! They clearly arnt interested in my business and I can only hope that anyone else trying to organise anything here has a better experience. I wouldn't want to be organising a wedding that is for sure, when you get treat like this, they are obviously in a good position and do not need the custom I am unaware if the owner knows about how his staff have handled this but I'd like to think if he did then he would be training them to value custom as he has lost a large booking. Not to mention losing us as a regular customers. I chose Casa because I have always enjoyed it in the past but after this, we won't return."
