"Me and a few friends had travelled to Bala lake for a nice day out, we walked into Bala centre to find somewhere for food and drink around 4pm. This was the first place we crossed, so we went in and waited by the sign where it said ‘wait to be seated’. We saw people sat outside with finished plates so we thought they’ll be serving food. We were waiting a fair few minutes, I popped my head around to the bar where this middle aged grumpy looking guy was working. He could definitely see us as I tried saying excuse me a few times, but he proceeded to ignore. So I went through to the bar where he was serving people and politely asked if they were serving food. He looked at me as he was pouring a pint and in a really grumpy way went ‘no’ and looked back down at the pint he was pouring. He looked angry? Even people at the bar noticed, we all just looked at each other a bit surprised. As we walked out, some people from the bar followed and said ‘yeah he’s a ‘wan*er, you’re better off trying somewhere further up’. Which we did and found a much more welcoming and friendlier place. It was just a shame he was so cold, like he didn’t want us there. We were tempted to get pizza from next door and all have drinks outside, but after the way he was we didn’t want to spend our money there. He lost out on 8 of us who were happy to fork out for drinks at least."

"it was a long day for us when we traveled from angles to the end of the Llyn Peninsula and eating early bites was exactly what we needed before the trip back to our caravan in rhosneigr. we chose italian and I called for a reservation as soon as we saw that osteria the highest rated italian in caernarfon. we have booked for 6 o'clock without problems, although it is the bank holiday sunday. it was a bit of an attempt to find the restaurant located in a pedestrian zone, very close to the burg, but with the help of Google cards and a good sense when we made it just before 18 clock. we sat outside for a few minutes before the waiter (operator? noticed us and welcomed us in. we had the choice when ant table for two, top or bottom, and we chose top which is light and airy. the waiter needed time to explain the menu and came to order our order after a few minutes. the wine list is extensive and there was peroni available, much to my man joy. there was a list of about 10 bruschetta and we decided on a sharing plate of three different, each for £10. a perfect starter. then we both ordered from him. I asked for lasagne, which was creamy and perfectly spiced. my man ordered the pasta with a creamy pfeffer sauce and courgettes. he was very happy with this simple pasta dish and then we chose panacotta, a fruit-covered Custard tea and an almond-covered chocolate cake with cream. all served with attention and humor. many thanks to our waiter who made the evening most pleasant. when we left at 7.30 a.m., there were still a few tables that were available despite this a busy weekend, so if they didn't book, I'm sure there would be space if they crossed their fingers."

"what a fantastic place to eat a real surprise in a small coastal town. we visited criccieth for a last minute jubiläume flucht and had searched for a place to get our taste shops on some good quality Asian cuisine. somewhere something special than taking or leaving the Chinese restaurant. To be honest, we were uncertain when we find that after we were in a small town that 'outside the season' so many places were simply open. fortunately, in mei 's fusion food we found exactly what we were looking for. after a cordial greeting in the inner of the absolutely terrible weather, the owner and her co-worker sat and made sure that we felt comfortable. we had not booked, and the place was quite busy, but we were still perfectly welcome and analyzed the menu in no time. the list of available dishes is a sensual eclectic mix of Asian cuisine, which breaks the form (on a good wise) of still known restaurants in larger cities. on the first reading, we had many dishes to our taste, out, including vegetarian friendly and a series of seasoned so that even the most conservative diner would be satiated. we chose the two Claypot dishes as our main (tau eu bak mabo tofu) and had a side of salt pepper frog 's legs next to (see photos.) there is simply no other way to describe them as delicious. well presented, tasty, served in good, but not overpowered portions and with a fantastic balance of the ingredients in each dish. kudos to the chef, she's doing a Stellar job. the owner and their personal were absolutely beautiful and made sure that we were happy everywhere without the painful unpleasant feeling that they were putting on some. overall, the extraordinary food, good moods and friendly staff made for two very happy travelers who will undoubtedly pay a visit again if we are in the opposite, we strongly recommend them."

"Dreadful Dreadful Dreadful. Please don't waste your time. Waited 5 minutes to be seated so should have gone elsewhere. Server asked if I wanted to add chips to my fajita burger, which I declined. Food took longer than expected, chips had been added and no side order of chilli, which the menu said it included. Server put plate down and ran, and either didn't hear me or chose not to hear me when I called her back. As she immediately disappeared and no other Server was in sight I waited at an empty bar, alongside a customer who said she was trying to find someone to ask where the deserts ordered 30 minutes earlier was. Eventually saw a different Server and told her the problem she said she'd sort it no apology given.(during this time a group of 4 people were waiting even longer than I had to be seated and they eventually left). Server bought a tablespoon of chilli in a pot and galloped off, ignoring the issue of the chips I'd declined. Ate my meal, excluding chips, went to pay, bar still empty so waited a while for the same Server (the one I'd reminded that i hadnt ordered chips earlier) to arrive to take payment. She handed me the receipt and ran. I'd been charged for the unrequested chips so I waited a few minutes for someone to come to the bar, then cut my losses, decided 99p wasn't worth the wait and left. So in summary: Served food I'd specifically declined and was charged for it Not served food that was part of my ordered meal No bar staff, and servers were few and far between, trying to work the bar between serving meals Waited ages to be seated and served. Staff dont think an apology is required for a mistake."
