"Went for a Nando’s this afternoon after finding some spare time in my week.I must say this Nando’s was amazing,I have wanted to visit this location as I have visited the South Ruislip location many times and I haven’t visited this one in rather a while and I fancied going into Uxbridge today so I thought Nando’s in Uxbridge would be the perfect idea.It was a fantastic experience,we were actually very lucky as even on a school day Tuesday afternoon it was full and we were one of the last to get in.I can’t believe it was so busy for a Tuesday afternoon, the time where I think least people eat out.So be careful when coming here.I know this location is always busy, bearing in mind it’s not in Central London. The food was fantastic,my 1/4 lemon and herb chicken and chips was delicious and beautifully presented, good portion sizes and really piping hot!!!!!!!!I also noticed on the menu they now have boneless chicken drumsticks available. The staff were fantastic too, couldn’t be friendlier.Conner came up to us to ask if everything was ok before the food even came(which was great so I suppose it was like checking we were happy with our table, that we were happy with our view from the window, that the toilets and drinks machine were in good reach, happy with the condiments available, that we were satisfied with cleanliness and where we were sat etc). Also Tara our waitress was very friendly too.Food came out extremley quickly. The decor in here is nice as well,I loved the music and I loved that some of the tables were a different shape, that was quite cool. Also drinks machine was great too,got 3 waters from there.Toilets were quite clean too. Also as I had a gluten allergy they got the manager to take my order which was a great measure especially in such a busy restaurant.I also liked that the humous came with a peri peri drizzle dip and that our table could be split off by the condiments,so it can be used in 4 separate tables or one big table. Also I love it how you can order upstairs too.I love it that you can also grab some olives,a naughty nata or go nuts and grab some nuts before you go.I would recommend you asking a staff member about the Nando’s rewards card.Overall a very nice chicken fix and can’t wait to return"

"Me and my family used to love Thai Lemon. It is one of our favourite local restaurants. We would visit at least 1-2 x a month. The previous owners were amazing and always offered a great service with their food and hospitality. The owners have changed and we visited once a few months back and did not meet our expectations. We decided to give them another chance today and can safely and sadly say will NEVER be visiting Thai Lemon again. Unfortunately the food is just not worth eating out. Maybe we are just so used to the amazing food we used to have by the previous owners but this just does not compare all. Prices have also increased which ok is understandable but they have also added a service charge to their bills. £240 bill and the duck pancakes were mouldy (wish I had taken a photo, large area of mould). When pointed out to the waitress she did not even apologise and simply said ‘I will get you a new one’. We were put off and didn't continue eating it. The duck was VERY dry and clearly old. Spring rolls full of oil inside. Drinks were not even cold from the fridge. Offered at room temperature with no ice in 32 degrees weather? Tom yum appaling, extremely salty and mushrooms very old. We did not finish these. Barely any meat in the sweet n sour chicken and oyster beef. No flavour in any dish whatsoever, thai food is meant to be very flavoursome. Really not worth £240 very disappointing. They didnt even offer to reduce the bill or remove service charge after the mouldy pancakes. Very unprofessional and food is not up to restaurant standard. Can tell they dont have a proper chef."

"This establishment in Northwood Hills has always been a goto restaurant for Cantonese food. The restaurant established at least 45 Years ago, provided a high quality, authentic food. My last visit was 4 years ago and now living overseas, this time with family was a special fairwell event. The dining experience I endured with the closest of my family will be the worst I have ever had in a cantonese restaurant. I will take the time to describe and list my grievances and also highlight areas where people new to this food experience should set there expectations. A traditional or even modern Cantonese restaurant have a near constant sound of wok cooking and i should of taken a lack off this as a warning. Another warning not politically correct but true is in all cases a cantonese/mandarin restaurant is always staffed predominantly with staff from the same region. In this case I was greetef by friendly staff with no Cantonese staff at all. The menu presented was not clean or wiped,at this point it's worth commenting on the restaurant as a whole. The original restaurant was set out differently and in comparison to today was warm, inviting and peaceful. What was very noticeable was the handmarks and grease smears over the original wall coverings.... tables were not dressed with cloths, hand napkins low quality and no table decoration. Wait staff were pleasant, young and not well trained. I witnessed a serious spillage over another customers table and the simple things of clearing glasses not being used were not being done. Food within the menu being offered were very westernized in description, with prices which were in midrange. The set menu for 4 had a great number of choices, where the menu for 2 was very limited. Prices for both were high. Prawn crackers served were not freshly made, but were not soft or stale. Duck pancakes were an absolute insult, I have had supermarket packaged versions which were multiple times better than what was served. One of the wait staff attempted to shred the duck and sadly again hadn't been trained to do so. The pancakes were dry, not soft and moist. The duck was of a below average size, which while had flavour, was quite dry. Sauce was from a bottle and vegetables were possibly fresh. I was concerned that we were going to magically receive our main dishes the moment our table was cleared, but the illusion of delay was impressive giving us doubt that we were In the middle of a terrible meal. At this point I have forgotten the dishes offered in the set menu for 2, briefly it was a garlic prawn and vegetable, stir fried vegetable, sizzling black bean beef and egg fried rice. The only dish which was of reasonable quality was the beef. It was sizzling when presented, was tender and appeared moist. The black bean was heavily salted which is the only negative in the dish. Both prawn and vegetable dishes were the same, where one didn't have prawn but replaced with baby corns. Mushrooms were not fresh and im guessing canned and most the vegetable appeared of frozen origin. Egg fried rice, was simply offensive. It tasted like microwave rice, had no good flavour. The manager of course very defensive, saying I was the first to ever complain. (After my visit, the internet searched revealed the truth I wasn't the first. She defended her kitchen and then proceeded to ask me how much i was willing to pay as I refused the final bill we ate less than a third. I ended up paying two thirds, to avoid anymore confrontation. Truth is it wasn't worth £144 or the £100 I gave them, I think anyone with basic cooking skills could make better, with supermarket ingredients for alot less. People within the vicinity of this restaurant, should know that this isn't a cantonese, mandarin or Chinese restaurant. It merely is a cheap copy I urge everyone who wishes to experience the delights of cantonese/mandarin food to find an establishment, that is staffed by people from the region. Expect to be greeted with warmth and respect. Sit at clean tables which are dressed, be provided with clear menus preferably written in 2 languages(Generally that of the region and english . There should be noise of woks, attention to detail, and warming family atmosphere. There should be fresh ingredients, dishes which all have unique flavors and rice well find yourself am authentic restaurant and you'll find out how rice should actually taste. I am deeply saddened that this restaurant has now been reduced to a cheap copy where clearly there is no attention to detail or authenticity. Only plus is so far there are no signs of food poisoning.. I will amend if it occurs over the next 12 hours."

"We booked before hand, never been there before and our reservation was found and we got a nice greeting, The table was a generous size and it was a spacious restaurant inside. We ordered 2 pints of coke at £4 each and a cider which took a long time coming but that was alright as we were chatting. Then we ordered the mixed starter for 4 which did take a long time coming and we were all hungry, Our mixed starter arrived and it was minimal to say the least I have never had spare ribs that had been saw in quatres bitesize and mostly bones, the chicken satay was such thin strips of chicken. There were no prawn crackers on the menu but we saw another table order them and they got some delivered to their table but when we asked to have them they said begrudgingly ok but they never arrived at our table just like the mains my daughter ordered chicken in black bean sauce and they we so busy that there was no one to ask so all she had was dried egg fried rice. We waited a long time between courses and my daughter did tell someone and they said they would get her some but she said no because by that time we had all finished our dinners and she could not wait another 30 mins for her mains. So obviously we did not order any desserts and just to let you know desserts are not part of the buffet at £24.60 person. The bill arrived and we mentioned the mains that did not arrive nor did the prawn crackers, they were sorry but did not offer any allowance on our bill just saying sorry did not make my daughter any fuller and my our experience a happy one. This is not a place I would visit again in a hurry, I felt cheated for the money we paid not only for my daughter but for our evening out. The food was of a good quality if you can get some. I would agree with other views do not go when it is busy you will be wasting your well earned money."
