"We usually don't comment on restaurants, as taste is a very complex matter.Nevertheless, we can't keep our mouths shut on this one.We decided on impulse to spend a day in the Champagne region, as we were already in France for the French Tennis Open. That was probably the best idea of this trip. From outside, it looks like a grocery store with a cooled display for ham and cheese, and racks full of products.Once inside there are several tables and chairs in the seventies style.Everything proposed here is organic. If you are lost in the menu, Aline will explain you in detail what you are up for, and once in front of the actual plate, she'll lengthily talk about each one of the ingredients, as she and her husband - Eric - are truly passionate owners. If you fancy authentic taste, that's the place to be.We never tasted grilled smoked salmon this good, and, clearly, you never ate "boudin" before. Organic champagne is something worth trying. It did remind us our trip in the Perigord region (region of "foie gras") a few years back, where we ate similarly local hand-made plates at an economical price. This said, if you plan to go to an good "classic" restaurant the same day, I advise that you go to Bon Manger first, as the taste will be lighter than the sauce centered french cuisine."
