"This was on our way home, crossing from west of London to South East London. We wanted to eat early and Hampton Spice opened at 4.30 when most others were not opening until 5 or 5.30. They were doing some electrical work but happy to...offer us a table in a smallish, pleasantly lit room with spotless white table linen. Food was exceptionally tasty, with Lamb Achai deliciously sour from its pickles with the most tender meat I have come across in a neighbourhood Indian restaurant in London. Peshawari chicken and sag paneer also delicious. We discovered a new relish, coconut chutney. Service courteous, attentive and knowledgeable."

"I have been using the Orange Tree for many years as a pre rugby match lunch venue. This is the first year I’ve had reason to complain. Firstly the prices had been greatly reduced, (Although reduced nearer the date) The sharer menu was fine, but sadly let down by serving the steak on cold plates and whilst the steak was of good quality, it was barely luke warm, and the wedges could have been cooked a little longer. Finally it was disappointing to run out of the very nice Rioja Reserva after just one bottle. Please get these attention to detail problems sorted as it’s normally such a great day and location. The above comments were raised on the day. The response was to remove the service charge, which was a little sad to think that the waiting staff possibly missed out on reward for something that was not their fault."

"This restaurant setting was beyond beautiful. Not contrived or pretentious and full of beautiful natural and rustic flowers amongst ornate gardening objects. This would be perfect for anyone who loves outdoors and flowers. The menu was great but unfortunately 2 out of the 6 mains (mullet and rabbit) were sold out before we arrived at 2:30, might be worth pre ordering? The service could be improved, the waitors felt nervous and were not attentive as they could have been we had to wait for quite a long time each time we wanted to order more wine/ food. That aside I would recommend this place to everyone and will be going back for my birthday this year."

"3rd visit to the restaurant. All 3 times has service issues. First visit waited whilst they served the queue of takeaways and was told to sit on any table. Made ourselves comfortable then another person told us to move from that table even though it didn 't have reserved sign on it. Then another person came and sat us on the same table from which we had been moved from. Then they started arguing amongst themselves about the issue of seating us even though they weren 't very busy. Had to wait a long time before our food arrived as they had large paratha order..then they forgot about our coffee. We thought maybe they were having a bad day. 2nd visit almost very similar. We were pointed to the table. We sat down and 10 mnts passed not even menu given to us. We had to Hunt for the menu ourselves..no one came to take order. The girl kept drying glasses and chatting to a young male.. finally after chasing up finally order taken food arrives but they forgot coffee. Again had to chase them. No apology no smile. No acknowledgement. I wouldn 't have gone there 3rd time but my son gave us treat as he know how much I used to love going to thier Heston branch..so 3rd time just as bad. Such a negative atmosphere, staff don 't have clear roles, no one bothers about regular customers, one of the customers made a comment while they were being seated oh you changed your hair style the server didn 't even acknowledged and walked away without saying thank you or having any kind of interaction. Then While hes taking thier order , kept talking to his colleague. Rubbish service..Trip advisor reviews are old 2014. If they are reviwed again probably get 1 star.."

"Anytime that you 're paddling on The Thames (should I have capitalised the 'T ' in 'The '? ; particularly the tidal Thames yeah it gets better! then we can seriously recommend rocking up to The Ship (Inn in a kayak, open canoe, a SUP board etc etc. There 's a slipway just seconds away from the bar, and they 're not particularly sniffy if you 're hauling paddles and bouyancy aids with you as you walk in The London Apprentice could learn a lesson or two here! Great selection of beers, toilets aren 't awful, staff are *really* great, and I expect the food is too I actually can 't remember the last time we ate here, but I do Greene King tend to keep on top of these things not sure about the Vegetarian/Vegan options, perhaps someone can elaborate? Shall return."

"we went to observe how the football before booked a table so that we could both eat and sit where what an atmosphere really brilliant no problem, get a drink bar staff very efficient and polite, just a small problem some drunk guy just make an agitation by himself, was last seen, staggered on the road, but, all in all a great result and a big night can not be booked for a great"

"Ordered food for collection. Discussed a dairy allergy at length while placing the order and confirmed the Chicken Biryani was dairy free. When I got the food home, I found the vegetable side curry that comes with the Biryani was potatoes in a cream sauce!!!...Rang to speak to them about it and the staff tried to justify that because the potatoes were free' he didn't need to tell me. It's a good job my year old recognised the dairy or we'd be going to hospital tonight this is totally unacceptable when I've gone to lengths to identify all of the dairy in the entire order so I know what is safe for him to eat. Jolly's didn't see the problem this is an alarm bell for anyone with a serious allergy, watch out if ordering from here."

"Never seen a common burger chain with below average quality food, overpriced items, bad service. Two standart cheeseburgers, 1 fries, 1 hot dog, two drinks cost over 45 pounds. You can get a really nice steak burger served properly, two pints beer for two in your nice local pub. Go with Wendy's or McDonald's. You'll be much better off. Never understood the hype about five guys and I'm a chaser of great burgers all the time."

"I've always been over just to visit his next, now closed. the beersortiment of the bulls head is short, but of good choice. eat, it is something to try, but. so far I had only French pommes. pub offers space for venues and they have regular jazz bands in the back room, which is very popular. it is in many respects different for the closed watermans arms, but after my first visit it is not disappointed. there's something vibe. personal is friendly and helpful that make your visit pleasant"

"We went to this restaurant specifically for a Sunday roast and it was cooked to perfection, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. We ordered one chicken and one beef roast, and we both preferred the chicken. The atmosphere was charming and the staff were attentive and friendly, which made our experience as American tourists even more enjoyable. The restaurant is located a bit off the beaten path and if you're walking, be prepared for a long, gradual climb up a slope. However, the upside is that it's away from the busy tourist crowds. We also enjoyed the nearby park as an added bonus."

"I came here on a Saturday night with friends from China. the place was humming and no surprise, this restaurant is known in the harbour for great authentic Chinese cuisine. we had the set menu although an a-la-carte is available. we enjoyed a veritables firm, the courts are a generous size and there was much to choose, in which we ran out of the room on the table. If they want to come here, I would definitely book, because in the rule there is a line from the door of those who did not have the foreseeable to make a reservation. a special mention should also be made from the lunch menu. I was here for the noodles at the weekends and there are many of these tasty mortals to choose and, if it is your ding, there is a karaoke room out of the back you can book for a party of up to 30."

"I can't believe that I have been living here for seven years and have never been here. On a last minute meal decision before the second lockdown my friend and I decided to meet here for dinner. A lovely restaurant although it was really cold as they kept on openings the doors! For starters I had the special of the king prawns and my friend had the mussels..both dishes were absolutely delicious..for mains I had the veal pasta this was incredible, I could have eaten three times more this is not to say the portions were small it was so good that I could haven't just carried on eating more. I then had the tirimisu for dessert, another hit. We had a lovely meal here..prices however are on the high end. Also some of the public areas like the toilet could have been given a bit more attention and it was cold in the restaurant..the food however was on point. Next time I want to try their steak pizza!"

"I am not a fan of Starbucks generally but this one is convenient for meeting at Kew Gardens station. We had to clear and wipe our own table which is not a great start. The decor is dark and dated. We went for their blond...roast in a white americano which was strong but not pleasant tasting. All in all not a great experience which just reinforced my dislike of this chain."

"I am new to the area and decided to take myself for Sunday lunch. Being single I don’t mind dining alone. I saw the Bell inn and as it was close gave it a go. I was not disappointed I was seated quickly and served by Georgina who was attentive and very efficient. My lunch came out hot and absolutely delicious, I was checked on by Georgina at regular intervals that were not intrusive and as a lone diner I am usually having to get someone’s attention. I also had an amazing view of the Thames while I dined. The Bell Inn was very popular and I can see why the food was great value and there was plenty of it."

"This is the 2nd time I have visited The Duke and the experience this time was not as good. Unfortunately, the waiting staff seemed very disorganised and were not very attentive when taking the order. The cutlery, serviettes were not brought out all at once but they kept coming backwards and forwards. One of the party had the gnocchi and when the waiter asked if we wanted anything else, ie, sauces, etc, they requested some parmesan cheese. The waiter returned to say that we could have parmesan but there would be an extra charge of £1 ! I have never in all the times I have visited restaurants have been asked to pay extra for parmesan cheese. We then asked to speak to the manager, who came over and said she would have to speak to the chef as she was a temporary manager. I am not sure what that had to do with making a decision on whether or not we had to pay for the parmesan. I pointed out that a member of the party was having the fish chips but had requested at the time of ordering that they did not want the mushy peas or tartare sauce. We would certainly not have expected to receive a reduction in the price ! The temporary manager then said she did not want to argue about it so would bring a portion of parmesan for no extra cost. I was a bit annoyed as there should have not been any argument at all as surely a small grating of parmesan should be free anyway, or the price incorporated in the cost of the meal !"

"I made a reservation at this restaurant for Mother's Day, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the beginning. The server was quite rude, failing to provide us with menus and ignoring us for an unreasonably long time. The service was extremely slow, and one of our meals didn’t arrive until half an hour after everyone else's. In response to this, our unfriendly waiter offered us a dough ball, which they later attempted to charge us for. We also had some food missing, and once again, they tried to charge us for it. Half of the waitstaff seemed to vanish in the midst of service, leaving one overworked waiter to manage the entire restaurant on their own. By the end of our visit, the manager appeared completely unaware of our unsatisfactory experience. The only redeeming aspect was that the food itself was good."

"Walked along Richmond Riverside and stumbled upon Tide Tables. We were so pleased we did. Unlike the other places across the bridge this one had riverside views and outdoor seating. Fun place for the kiddos with a nice stretch of greenery alongside the river walk. It is also a dog friendly place. They have put out a doggie water bowl! Go check out the pastries we chose the harvest apple cake and lemon drizzle slice, delicious! For savouries we chose the spinach goat's cheese parcel and falafel plate with salad, hummus bread roll. The staff were friendly and helpful. Absolutely outstanding food and service. We had a lovely meal in great surroundings."

"I love the sandwiches/pastries here but really disappointed with poor and slow service. There were 4 people behind the counter. 2 people were waiting for coffee orders and because there weren't any, they were just standing waiting. The other 2 were taking one order at a time and wouldn't take the next order until the whole order had finished (lots of standing and waiting for sandwiches to toast and then even delivering to the tables (whilst the other 2 were standing around). It's 1pm on 27th October and I was there 10 minutes ago so perhaps management need to have a word with those staff working because it's very frustrating to watch when you are on a lunch break. Then when I did receive my toasted mozarella and pesto sandwich, it had been shoved into the bag so it wasn't even a sandwich anymore. Most of the mozarella had clearly slipped out in the cooking process so I was left with mostly bread and tomato. Really disappointed. Not going back unless I receive a free sandwich and the service improves. They really can't charge that kind of money and not train the staff properly."

"I called the restuarant before placing an order as a had a couple of quick questions on the dishes as the titles are so vague but i wanted to try something different. I wanted to know if the mandarin chicken had batter on it, which the man replied yes and then i asked if it was the thin batter of the kind with the sweet and sour pork balls (which i hate), at that point he said thank you goodbye in an angry tone and hung up?? Crazy customer service, obviously i never ordered with them and went elsewhere which is a shame because I liked that they gave fortune cookies with the delivery. The owner is just a jumped up ideot with an alright chinese lucky that there are no real good ones in the area, its basic fare so i'm not going to put up with that kind of nonsense they have lost a customer."
