"We decided to book a table at the Pub to celebrate my parents' recent move to the village and to experience the local cuisine. It was the first time dining there for all 9 of us, and we had high expectations. The bar area with its low ceilings, log fires, and cozy atmosphere impressed me upon arrival. Unfortunately, due to the size of our group, we were seated in the back room/Conservatory, which lacked the charm of the bar area. The menu offered a variety of choices for starters, mains, and desserts, as well as options for children. Most of us opted for a roast, and I chose the fish n chips just to be safe. The roast that was served left me puzzled, as the meat was bleeding on the plate from not being rested properly, and the accompanying vegetables were lacking. The potatoes were average, and my fish and chips were just okay. It seems that the restaurant has potential to be much better, but it lacks passion and creativity in the kitchen. It's a shame as there is so much more that could be done to elevate the dining experience."
