"An old coaching house cum bed and breakfast. With a large restaurant doing a carvery style servings. Yum yum. Staff are great, and welcoming.A 2 night stay (at short notice) with breakfast and main meals included (and a few wet ones at the bar) came to around 220 quid. The rooms were ok ish... beds were fine. Linen was clean and ironed? rooms were clean and brightly lit. There was WiFi, but we didnt use it on this occasion.Parking outside was ample and seemed quite secure. The location is just outside Woolacombe on the right hand side of the road (B3343) and is easily accessibe from both directions. The owner is a friendly man and will chat all day with you the guest. The staff are really helpful and go the extra mile to please. The carvery... was excellent. Cooked almost to perfection. The building is an old Coaching House, and is definitely showing its age. The outside of the building hides a beautifully maintained guest house and restaurant and bar area.Yes, it is in need of a spruce up, and bits of it look tired... but is hundreds of years old, wouldnt you need a pick-me-up if you are as old as this place.I will definitely be coming back here, on my next visit to Ilfracombe and Barnstaple area.if i could give this place 10/10 i would... maybe 9/10...."
