"An old coaching house cum bed and breakfast. With a large restaurant doing a carvery style servings. Yum yum. Staff are great, and welcoming.A 2 night stay (at short notice) with breakfast and main meals included (and a few wet ones at the bar) came to around 220 quid.The rooms were ok ish... beds were fine. Linen was clean and ironed? rooms were clean and brightly lit.There was WiFi, but we didnt use it on this occasion.Parking outside was ample and seemed quite secure.The location is just outside Woolacombe on the right hand side of the road (B3343) and is easily accessibe from both directions.The owner is a friendly man and will chat all day with you the guest.The staff are really helpful and go the extra mile to please.The carvery... was excellent. Cooked almost to perfection.The building is an old Coaching House, and is definitely showing its age. The outside of the building hides a beautifully maintained guest house and restaurant and bar area.Yes, it is in need of a spruce up, and bits of it look tired... but is hundreds of years old, wouldnt you need a pick-me-up if you are as old as this place.I will definitely be coming back here, on my next visit to Ilfracombe and Barnstaple area.if i could give this place 10/10 i would... maybe 9/10...."

Went here for Sunday Lunch the staff are very friendly and will help if anything is wrong. The Sunday Lunch was superb really tasty and all the veg were freshly cooked. Not to badly priced. Well worth a visit

visited for dinner (party of 4, dog.) very warm of the staff, the eating was delicious and the service was great. the only thing we have down here is the dated decoration that looks through and you will have a beautiful meal. Ver carta

My family and I have visited this pub while staying in the area several times over the years. Carvery is always good with a nut roast and veggie gravy available for vegans and vegetarians. Chef happy to point out what oil/sauce veg has been cooked in. Could use some investment in the presentation of the pub as it's quite dated, and more vegan options for non carvery days, but staff are friendly and food is good.

This restaurant is absolutely top-notch. The staff is fantastic, the atmosphere is great, and the selection of beers and other beverages is excellent and reasonably priced. Our group of six tried a variety of dishes for dinner and every single one was delicious, well-prepared, and served in generous portions. The chef, who happens to be the owner's son, cooks everything from scratch, right down to the smallest details like engraving on the sausage. I was very impressed and definitely plan on returning!
