"I have become a regular customer at the Sussex Yeoman and visit for lunch once or twice a week. The level of service is great and the Manager and Staff are very friendly. It is refreshing to be treated as a valued customer with old-fashioned service, which is lacking in many other hospitality businesses. The value for money is outstanding, especially when taking advantage of the daily deals like Curry Wednesdays and BOGOF on Burgers on Fridays. I thank the Sussex Yeoman team for their excellent service and look forward to visiting again soon."

"This is primarily a pub with great beer and very friendly staff. We decided to visit for a meal this time, hoping for the varied and interesting menu we had experienced before, which also offered a few vegan options. However, we were disappointed to find that the menu had changed and the only option for us as vegans was a vegan burger with optional chips. This limited selection means we will not be returning to eat there and will choose other places instead. It's surprising, as vegan dishes can be easily prepared and have high profit margins. Hopefully, their winter menu will offer more options for vegans."

"I’ve always been a fan of The Woods and I’ve always promoted restaurant to my friends and family that was until this Saturday. Wanting to take advantage of Woods new takeaway service which we do used once or twice before without issue, but this Saturday, after ordering a commodore, I was left with a broken tooth and cut mouth due to a large lump of sharp burnt material slap bang in the middle of the burger, I contacted woods on Saturday to be told no manager was available and I gave my details for somebody to call me back Sunday time. Nobody return my call I contacted them again to be told somebody had picked up my number and will be back to me as soon as possible, Monday comes and goes I email no response finally get through on Tuesday afternoon to talk to the manager, whose only excuse for not contact me as I wasn’t in. Can we get back to you know I haven’t read the email and I am insisting that they deal with my complaint as I’ve had already been waiting since Saturday. He hangs up so when we arrive at the restaurant to confront them face-to-face of which I videoed and threatened with the police because I’m threatening or harassing them because I’m trying to make a customer complaint and he doesn’t want to deal with it so he’s text the boss who tells him to just call the police. This is how they treat their customers."

"I visited this pub for drinks with my colleagues and was impressed by the NHS discount and wide selection of my favorite beers. The pub has a nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and a lovely beer garden. My coworkers highly recommended the food, especially the pizza. Intrigued, I decided to try the Sabotage pizza with mozzarella, pepperoni, Parma ham, Italian sausage, parmesan, hot honey, and a pint of Jamaican Red Stripe beer. The discount only applied to the drinks, which was expected and not a problem. The beer was excellent as always, but I was slightly underwhelmed by the pizza. While it was flavorful and delicious, the paper-thin and overly greasy base made it difficult to eat. Despite the thinness of the crust, the toppings were too heavy and slid off easily. I had to use cutlery from the bar to enjoy it properly. The pizza was tasty, earning it a solid 3 stars. However, with a thicker and sturdier base, it could easily be a 5-star dish. Overall, it was much better than a typical takeaway pizza and more affordable. I recommend refining the base for a perfect experience."

"we've found it before and found it a hidden gem. it's still one. we gave up the chance on a table and had luck getting the last one. I went for cod and chips and chose my wife. the monk in a tomato sauce from the specials. I have to hear the last of it, because she's so happy with her choice. my kot has covered the plate almost with the chips underneath. I have a big appatite and it almost beat me, although I had to have one more mouthful, as it was so fresh and well cooked. {light and fluffy with a cripple outside the staff are all friendly and attentive to the best level. we even had an apology for the late, as the monk had to be cooked seperately, although it was worth waiting. not sure how they go, how they serve from pm and the resturant never under half fully emptied with a constant takeaway service while we were there. would come back -booking a table, the milkshake, wein with the carafe, miss breakfast."

"I had a nice dinner tonight. the service was excellent and the food delicious. I said I was vegan when I arrived and they went and got a separate vegan menu filled with choices (see photos from the menu). I went for the garlic mushrooms for starters, which was delicious and the sweet escalope with sauté kartoffeln and veg for main crispy coating on the escalotte. fill and great worth. defeats a chain restaurant every day."

"What a disappointment. We have eaten at the Fox on several previous occasions and always thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Today was a complete letdown. After waiting over an hour our main courses arrived Sunday lunches and kids’ meals. Two of our group had roast beef it was barely edible tough and chewy; two had roast pork which they said was ok but no crackling!!!! The two nut roasts were rated best. Each plate had roast potatoes, which were satisfactory and a Yorkshire pudding which was over cooked eand too crunchy! We were in the process of deciding on desserts when we were told that there would be another long wait, so we paid up and left!! In fairness to the clearly stressed and apologetic senior member of staff who served us, our bill was adjusted to allow for the poor quality beef and delay. (Nearly two and a half hours for one course and a couple of drinks! We will probably give the Fox another try in the future but definitely not for a Sunday lunch!"

"Completely honest review. You feel little rushed, not most welcoming, they want you in n out. Dont be late. Food is reasonably priced but being a pescatarian Iv had better in general restaurants. Seafood is dressed to death. Battered fish had very strong fishy smell. Any seafood lover knows fresh fish doesn't smell strong like this. Lot is bulked out with Bread and salads. Mussels and squid are cooked very well. Lil hit n miss. Think I wouldnt have been so critical if it wasn't hyped up so much. Its an OK place to grab a bite,I wouldnt make a beeline or use it for special occasion. Interior is really nice and it's all very clean. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4"

"During a visit to Worthing in the evening with friends, we stumbled upon a charming Italian restaurant located along the seafront near the main High Street. As we had not made a reservation and it was early in the evening, we were able to find available tables. The service was exceptional and the food was fantastic. The menu offered a variety of traditional dishes such as pasta, pizza, and other main courses, as well as some more creative options. Our choices for the main course included seafood risotto, chicken risotto, lasagne, and pasta with pear, goat cheese, and sausage, all of which were delicious. The portions were generous, leaving no room for dessert. The prices for our main courses ranged from £14 to £15, which we found to be good value for the quality of the food. The manager who welcomed us and served our table was polite, helpful, and hospitable, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere in the restaurant. Based on our experience, we would recommend this restaurant for a pre-show dinner or a similar occasion."

"Looking for somewhere to grab a quick lunch with my 16 year old daughter and came across this place on Google. The restaurant was deserted despite it being Saturday lunch time, but put this down to the fact the food festival was taking place. We didn’t want the larger dishes so had a sharing plate of nachos with beef chilli, and 2 starters chicken Toquitos and cheese quesadillas. The dishes were okay but not the best Mexican food we’ve ever had. The nachos were the best out of the three dishes. We paid and left and there was still no one else in the restaurant. Less than an hour later I became quite unwell and had a very upset stomach. My daughter also had an upset stomach an hour or so after we returned home. I had not eaten anything else that day so I can only assume that something wasn’t reheated thoroughly. I am writing this the next day in the afternoon, after being up and down all night on the toilet. I still have a very tender stomach and griping pains. Suffice to say we won’t be eating here again."

"We were a group of 10 adults celebrating the pre-Christmas season with our close friends at this top-notch Chinese restaurant. The restaurant never fails to impress. We opted for set menu C, which included a variety of dishes such as Imperial Spare Ribs of Pork, Sesame Prawn Toast, Crispy Vegetable Spring Rolls, Satay Chicken, Crispy Seaweed, Aromatic Duck, Sizzling Fillet Steak in "Cantonese" style, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Tiger King Prawns in Coconut Cream Sauce, Stir-Fried Mixed Vegetables, and "Yeung Chow" Special Fried Rice. The price was £33 per person and the wine selection was of excellent quality. We highly recommend this restaurant."

"We ordered a standard takeaway last Sunday evening. Sides, rice, naan and two chicken curries. What they delivered (over an hour wait) was revolting. It left me in a miserable mood. The chicken tikka tasted like ketchup, chicken madras was tasteless, brinjal bhajee watery. The chicken breast in the curries was overcooked. Zero texture to sauces, just slopp. I really expect more, especially when I deliberately didn't use a delivery app with discounts off....trying to support local businesses, who seemingly are struggling. It would be really appreciated if you could honour your customers with the same gesture and produce decent tasting curries! Absolutely disgusting. Won't be ordering food from you again. Insulted that you think what you deliver is edible food. Maybe investigate Curry Leaf Cafe near you and sample their curries?"

"I’m in love with Jonny’s again! I visited this Sunday with my partner, and I was extremely impressed with the quality of the food. Our server, Kate, was very polite and attentive. The dining experience was fantastic. I had the chicken wings with inferno sauce, and I have to say, I’ve really come to love Jonny’s wings. My partner enjoyed the mozzarella sticks as well. My usual blue cheese and bacon burger was beautifully presented and tasted divine, while my partner tried a salad that she wanted to sample. Both main dishes exceeded expectations. There's a reason I adore Jonny's—the food is outstanding, wonderfully presented, and the atmosphere is lovely. I’ll definitely be back for the wings because I can’t get enough. This is a 10-star restaurant—thank you, Jonny!"

"Food served at Anaz Indian restaurant had good flavours. Anaz restaurant table service, attended to by a solitary waiter who worked very hard and was very pleasant throughout our meal, was good. Unfortunately the Anaz restaurant front of house manager was aloof/patronising in his manner, and thought it humourous when challenged regarding prices charged for drinks. In my opinion excessive prices being charged for carbonated and bottled drinks in today's world is bad form and should be banished to the past as bad practice by restaurants. The Cobra draft beer served in Anaz restaurant was flat, had little or no taste, and even less alcoholic effect??? Being charged £6.95 for a solitary Kingfisher bottled beer when alternative beers (Kingfisher 3 X 330 ml bottled beer is £5) is readily available at Tesco!!! Or £2 per bottle in ASDA!!! Given Tesco and Asda are making a profit on those prices, it poses the question what is the mark up customers are being charged at £6.95 per bottle at Anaz restaurant? It would be refreshing if the proprietor of Anaz restaurant declared the mark up on all drinks in their menu, and in any reply to this review. Being what I believe to have been overcharged for alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages in the quiet low key Anaz restaurant on the outskirts of Worthing is very disappointing. Especially when bottled beers and carbonated drinks served, are readily available in supermarkets and shops at circa one third of the price charged in Anaz restaurant. Unfortunately on this visit our evening meal was spoiled by the cost of the drinks. Perhaps the so called complimentary Irish liqueur should be removed, replaced by a simple 10% mark up on all bottled and carbonated drinks served in the restaurant. We won't be returning to Anaz restaurant unfortunately."

"We came here to celebrate Christmas Day with our family (14 of us) and we all felt that the meal and service run by Nathan and his team was excellent. I booked this back in September with Nathan and I pointed out that one of us was a celiac sufferer. He was completely re-assuring and said this wasn't a problem for them at all. I have to say that the choices for all 3 meal courses was very good with 5 starters, 4 mains and 6 desserts to choose from. We arrived at 3pm and our table was ours until 6pm so we had plenty of time together. All in all the meal was excellent with plenty of food for everyone and with excellent service. Thank you again to everyone at the North Star for making our Christmas Day meal so special."

"I have ordered from seasons in india. the first time it was great to eat. the second and the third time I spent a long time to choose my curry that paid for it. I then got a call from a company called new dragon. the spice of india. they told me they both ran out of everything. I had ordered many different dishes, so it seemed strange. we have ordered at both locations near, but if they are not able to offer a service, please do not offer and definitely do not take my money. I'm waiting for my refund now and I had to buy another curry from zeema that, if fantastic. but I'm still out of the bag. I will not order from spice of india again."

"Literally the worst kebab I’ve ever had in my life, and I’m 45. Second time I’ve had Memosh and both times absolutely terrible. The meat is the cheapest nastiest meat I’ve ever put in my mouth. My wife ordered a combination kebab for me. The donner meat was like oily thick slices of rubber, cold and smelt not like lamb at all. Smelt like dog meat. Seriously. The chicken shish was cheap frozen rubber meat too. Absolute grot. Oh and salad? What salad.. you get a tiny little garnish. Really. Oh and they put massive chunks of raw onion in because they can’t use a knife? It comes in a weird paper thin flatbread (not a pitta) so if you want to pick up this grot and try and eat it, you can’t; because it falls to pieces. £11 for the worst kebab in the world. Oh and makes you feel sick due to the lowest quality meat. Avoid 0 stars. Should have stuck with Ace Burger."

"2nd bad meals from Akash. Was always our weekly favourite. Akash chicken special so salty was inedible, chicken tough, rubbery. Lamb vindaloo had no heat!! Had our usual lamb madras garlic chilli chicken last week, both were not the usual standard, looked, tasted different, plus the pilau rice is not usual colour. Both times delivered late. Rang Akash, offered replacement next time, just wanted to ask what's happened not after refund etc. We suspect a change of chef, one who has lowered the standard of the food. Sadly next week we will be hunting for a new Indian."
