"Ok guys since this is the first review in English you know this is of the beaten path as far as a restaurant for an English speaking visitor or tourist goes, but if you are adventurous you shall be well served is our motto as...a family and as far as food goes. So first of all if you navigation system shows you are off roading and you feel you are going into a forest you are in he right place. The restaurant has signs all through you just need to believe them. Anyway we parked and walked up and were seated in one of the rooms by a window table. Place was very full with locals. This had been recommended to us as a fish place so we thought they served only fish. Our waitress pleasant as they come spoke no English but she finally after some convincing got us an English menu for the regular dishes but for the specials which I was very interested in we got her colleague who took over even though she had to neglect her customers and leave them waiting. We finally settled on a Sangiovese from Italy which was awesome. We started with a tomato soup for my year old son but the three of us hare everything and the spinach and cheese balls. The soup was good but the cheese and spinach balls awesomemest spinAt knodel The main course was freSh trout grilled with potatoes for my soul mate it was coming of the bone in a jiffy and was done perfectly. My son had the kids veal cutlets with Pom frittes which he loved. Now for the masterpiece the venison with a mushroom sauce cooked medium melting in one's mouth the softest meat I ever had as tender as it gets it came with some dry noodles with some nuts in it will edit to give you german names it is on my other camera with picture of the menu. What a lovely meal. The desserts were very nice but we had no space. Very nice meal and of the beaten path experience. Loved it place was full of locals which is always a good sign, place is closed Wednesday and Thursday."

beautiful settings with magnificent views of the mountains. it feels quite far away. book as the place is really popular. eating is typical of the region, large, heavy and tasty dishes served with smiling quality. the outside area is great, the restaurant itself is very.

Kennen das Gasthaus schon seit Jahren. Bodenständige handwerklich gute Küche in gleichbleibender Qualität.Wiener Schnitzel vom Kalb mit lauwarmen Kartoffelsalat, mmmmhh. Danach noch ein Kaiserschmarren. Mehr brauch man nicht. Vielleicht noch der Abstieg von der Alm ins Tal wegen der Verdauung.

Dass allerdings das Spargelrisotto (wenn auch nicht ganz al dente) mit Fischfilet ebenso gut war, damit rechnet man ja nicht unbedingt in einer bayerischen Traditionsgaststätte auf 800m Höhe. with some local colleagues to eat, we decided to go with the specificities of the house. starting with bloodworm and potato salad washed with the local beer we then on bark and swirl, ass carved and venison (locally shot by the owner apparently). it was all good if a little hard to be what the local style seems. overall, a good place seems to be for traditional food and in daylight probably in an attractive location halfway a hill along a narrow road.

sung on Saturday night after aibl. reservations are required as the place is popular and therefore packed. from the easy follow the signs to the restaurant. there are enough parking available. typical Bavarian ambiente and menu. I took the brain/vanison ragout and. it was just wonderful. really delicate chicks of lean succulent meat. the soße was super, as well as the red cabbage. knödels are made to house and wonderful. in short, that was probably the best brain I ever had. only a restaurant they will remember for many years. Wir haben die Aibl Alm zum Abendessen besucht. Der Empfang war herrzlich, bei dem Ambiente haben wir uns sofort wohlgefühlt.Unsere Tochter war gleich mit dem Ausmalen der Kinderkarte beschäftigt und hatte sich schnell für eines der Kindergerichte entschieden.Wir selbst landeten bei Seeforellenfilet auf Spargelrisotto und Käsespätzle, wobei uns die tolle Karte diese Auswahl nicht leicht gemacht hat.Beide Essen waren von toller Qualität, wirklich lecker und der Fisch auf den Punkt gebraten.Zum Abschluss mussten wir mit dem Kaiserschmarrn einfach sündigen ;-)Ein Genuss! und sicher einer der Gründe wieder hierher zu kommen.

Almgasthaus Aibl Herrlich gelegen am Fuß des HirschbergesDer Chef, Georg Ertl, scheint sein Metier zu lieben. Gerne kommt er aus der Küche um seine Gäste zu begrüßen und zu beraten. Seine Gerichte sind hautsächlich typisch Bayrisch, es gibt aber auch ein Hühner-Curry oder ein Nordseefisch. Die Spinatknödel und die Hirsch-Bolognese auf Nudeln sind zum Niederknien genauso wie das Wienerschnitzel oder, je nach Jahreszeit und mit Vorbestellung, die Ente und die Gans. Für das gute Gewissen erwähne ich, dass das Geflügel von einem Hof kommt, wo die Tiere das ganze Jahr über Freilauf haben.
