"Had a chance to stop in Meersburg for lunch on our way to Fussen and glad we did. We were in Germany for two weeks traveling on vacation to four different cities / towns, and one of the best meals we had during our stay was at the Alte Bank Cafe. The food was over the top good, and the staff was very friendly. This is one of those places that you would actually travel back to just to eat and relax. I would definitely recommend the town of Meersburg, the Castle and, the Alte Bank Cafe to anyone."

The Alte Bank is a great place to stop on a cold windy day and have a nice hot coffee and pastry. This place is centrally located and good to sit and just watch the people go by.

Excellent service and great food from pasta to fish dishes. We opted to eat outside and there was a cool breeze on a very hot day. Kid friendly and great menu. Recommended highly.

This restaurant is popular with locals who like to sit outside. The interior is an old banking hall with a high ceiling. Food is good and wholesome with large portions and service is friendly and efficient. Ver carta

The choice of food was good from baked potatoes and pasta dishes to more traditional main courses. The ex banking hall is interesting or you can eat outside. The staff are friendly and efficient and it attracted all ages.

Very good food, traditional, sometimes with a modern twist. Personnel was very cooperative about a lactose-free option. Lovely to sit outside in the evening as is not crowded, in a beautiful square facing the Neues Schloß.

We ate outside sheltered from the sun by the building and umbrella. The square facing the New Palace is quieter than the main street. Meals were good with fish, curry and steak on the menu. A nice change from chips and schnitzel. Salad was good. Staff were friendly, efficient and English speaking. Ver carta

We went to this restaurant because it looks really grand from the outside and is right in front of the new castle. Once inside you will be disappointed though. The place is in need of some urgent redecoration, The food was okk-ish but overpriced. The service was good and friendly though.I would not go back there and wouldn't certainly recommend it to my friends.

Enjoyable dining experience in Meersburg across the square from the "new" castle. It's been retrofitted into space that was once a bank. Decor reflects it's prior history. Serving staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke English which was a plus. After a week of working our way across Bavaria on the Deutsche Alpinstrasse and living on sausage and beer, it was a relief to take a break and dine on some of the local fish and wine. Wunderbar!!! A great find in Meersburg!

The Gutsschänke works in its own direction, but is obliged to pour out the wines of the adjacent state winery. Although it is not eaten out of a pot, otherwise it seems to be quite alive here to the Middle Ages. This is how the common people of the visitors in communion experience themselves according to the conditions of the landlord. Six people belong to a round table and “Freewoman of non-long flares” arranges for a short time and lets the lapels and lapels act ruckzuck.
